LET’S JUMP INTO THE ARMS OF GOD

Titus 2:11-12

...who wants all people to be saved and to come to a full knowledge of the truth.

1 Timothy 2:4NIV

Some time ago I heard the story of a group of children who were trapped in a school in the middle of a fire. The firemen were slow to arrive. Then the father of one of those children, who was a very strong man, got as close as he could to the building and asked the children to jump down one at a time as he would catch them in his arms. The children bravely did so and they were all saved.

In the same way we too are in a world on fire and close to destruction, which will burn this earth to the ground. God, as the loving Father, calls us to leap fearlessly into his loving arms to save us from eternal death.

In this story the children trusted the man, and so all could be saved. But what would have happened if one of them had not done so? Surely they would have been burned. In the same way, even today there are many people who live in uncertainty, fear and indecision, and refuse to accept God for many reasons.

Today the invitation is to look around us because our world is collapsing. There is no time to lose. God is still waiting for us every day. If you are one of those who have not yet decided, let yourself fall into his arms before it is too late.

 

Prayer:  Lord, in the midst of the chaos of this world, thank you that the invitation to be saved is present at every moment. In your arms we will always be safe. You promised us that you will not let us fall and in you we trust. We pray to you especially for those who still lack the gift of salvation. May we too spread the Good News of salvation that you have for all your people. Amen.

SALTEMOS A LOS BRAZOS DE DIOS

TITO 2:11-12

...el cual quiere que todos los hombres sean salvos al conocimiento de la verdad

1 Timoteo 2:4

Hace algún tiempo escuché la historia de un grupo de niños que habia quedado atrapado en una escuela en medio de un fuego. Los bomberos tardaban en llegar. Entonces el padre de uno de esos niños, que era un hombre bien fuerte, se acercó lo más que pudo al edificio y les pidió a los niños que fueran saltando uno a la vez que él los atraparia en sus brazos. Los niños con mucho valor lo hicieron y todos fueron salvados.

De la misma manera estamos nosotros también en un mundo prendido en llamas y próximo a la destrucción, que abrasará esta tierra por completo. Dios, como el Padre Amante, nos llama a saltar sin miedo hacia sus brazos de amor para salvarnos de la muerte eterna.

En esta historia los niños confiaron en el hombre, y asi todos se pudieron salvar. Pero ¿qué hubiese ocurrido si alguno no lo hubiera hecho? Seguramente se habria quemado. De igual forma, aun hoy hay muchas personas que viven en la incertidumbre, el temor y la indecisión, y se niegan a aceptar a Dios por muchas causas.

Hoy la invitación es a mira a nuestro alrededor porque nuestro mundo está colapsando. No hay tiempo que perder. Dios nos sigue esperando todos los dias. Si eres de los que aun no se ha decidido, déjate caer en sus brazos ante de que sea demasiado tarde.

 

Oración: Señor, en medio del caos de este mundo, gracias porque la invitación a ser salvos está presente a cada momento. En tus brazos siempre estaremos seguros. Tú nos prometiste que no nos dejarás caer y en ti confiamos. Te pedimos especialmente por los que aún carecen del regalo de la salvación. Permite que podamos nosotros también divulgar la Buena Nueva de salvación que tienes para todo tu pueblo. Amén.
