AND, IF WE SHARE?

John 6: 1-15

Here is a boy with five small barlet loaves and two small fish. But how far will they go among so many? (NIV)

John 6: 9

If it rains, let’s share our umbrella with that person who is nearby and has nowhere to shelter; and if we don’t carry an umbrella or a cape, let’s share the rain, that which heals us and cleanses our soul. Likewise, let’s share our fears, our insecurities, our concerns. Let’s throw away everything that ails us, let’s count on that friendly shoulder that relieves our burden, and let’s be grateful for the thousand and one reasons to live.

Even if we have little, let us share our bread, and thus the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes will be carried out. Let’s share the fruits of our land, a hot coffee, a little water, that food that we know the neighbor or the girl on the corner likes so much. But above all things, let us share the love of God.

 

Prayer: God of abundance, who feeds our body and spirit, fill us with wisdom, love and humility so that in our homes there is always something to share. Amen.

¿Y SI COMPARTIMOS?

Juan 6: 1-15

Andrés, el hermano de Simón Pedro le dijo: Aquí hay un muchacho que trae cinco panes de cebada y dos pescados. Pero, ¿qué es eso para tanta gente?

Juan 6: 9

Si llueve, compartamos nuestro paraguas con esa persona que anda cerca y no tiene dónde cobijarse; y si no llevamos sombrilla o capa, compartamos la lluvia, esa que nos cura y limpia el alma. Asimismo, compartamos nuestros temores, nuestras inseguridades, nuestras preocupaciones. Desechemos todo aquello que nos aqueja, contemos con ese hombro amigo que nos alivia la carga y agradezcamos las mil y una razones para vivir.

Aunque tengamos poco, compartamos nuestro pan, y así se realizará el milagro de la multiplicación de los panes y los peces. Compartamos los frutos de nuestra tierra, un cafecito caliente, un poco de agua, esa comida que sabemos que tanto le gusta al vecinito o a la niña de la esquina; pero sobre todas las cosas, compartamos el amor de Dios.

 

Oración: Dios de la abundancia, tú que nos alimentas el cuerpo y el espíritu, llénanos de sabiduría, de amor y de humildad. Permite que en nuestros hogares haya siempre algo para compartir. Amén.
