IS REPENTANCE NECESSARY?

Acts 3: 13-15, 17-19

Repent, then, and turn to God so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord. (NIV)

Acts 3: 19

Human beings, to the extent that they have experienced their situations, have reflected upon their mistakes and their possible solutions or responses to them. To do this, the degree of guilt or the need to repent has been questioned.

Can we live without repentance and without God’s forgiveness? What do you do in your daily life to reduce the load? Do you apologize to your brother for making an inappropriate comment? Do you talk to your pastor to try to solve a problem with your neighbor?

Jesus teaches us to correct our mistakes, to straighten our paths if they go crooked, to start over with a new way of seeing the world, leaving our worries and bad thoughts behind and becoming “new people, new life, signs and songs.” of the Kingdom.”

Prayer: Our Father, forgive our weaknesses  and fears. Help us to be stronger and grow in your Kingdom of peace and justice. Allow us to do good at all times, because in this way we do good to you too. Do not lead us into temptation and deliver us from all evil. Amen.

¿ES NECESARIO EL ARREPENTIMIENTO?

Hechos 3: 13-15, 17-19

Por lo tanto, arrepiéntanse y conviértanse, para que se les perdonen los pecados.

Hechos 3: 19

El ser humano, en la medida en la que ha vivido sus situaciones, ha reflexionado sobre sus errores y sus posibles soluciones o respuestas ante estas. Para ello, se ha cuestionado el grado de culpabilidad o la necesidad de arrepentirse.

¿Podremos vivir sin el arrepentimiento y sin el perdón de Dios? ¿Qué haces en tu día a día para aminorar las cargas? ¿Te disculpas con tu hermano por haberle hecho un comentario indebido? ¿Conversas con tu pastora para tratar de solucionar un problema con tu vecino?

Jesús nos enseña a corregir nuestros errores, a enderezar nuestras sendas si estas se tuercen, a volver a empezar con una nueva manera de ver el mundo, dejando nuestras preocupaciones y malos pensamientos detrás y convirtiéndonos en “gente nueva, vida nueva, señales y cantos del Reino”. 

 

Oración: Padre nuestro, perdona nuestras flaquezas, debilidades y miedos. Ayúdanos a ser más fuertes y a crecer en tu Reino de paz y de justicia. Permite que hagamos el bien en todo momento, porque así te hacemos el bien a ti también. No nos dejes caer en la tentación y líbranos de todo mal. Amén.
