GREAT  ARE GOD’S MARVELS FOR ALL THE EARTH

Psalm 46:2-8

Come and see what the LORD has done, the desolations he has brought on the earth.

Psalm 46:8 (NIV)

The psalmist proclaims that, even though the earth may tremble and the mountains slide into the sea, God is our refuge and strength. He speaks to us within a context of real threats against the people of Israel. He does not deny the danger; rather, he confronts it by proclaiming God’s sovereignty over history and all of creation.

When the psalmist invites us to contemplate the Lord’s “wonders,” he refers not only to natural beauty but also to his powerful acts of deliverance and care. God intervenes, listens, acts, sustains, and governs. Today, we are invited to recognize the wonders God performs; He calls us to acknowledge the fragility of our environment without losing confidence that the Lord reigns, and he encourages us to work alongside him to transform the world and fill it with color.

To recognize the wonders we see and enjoy all around us is a gift from God. It is our task to discover where God continues to be at work, to join him in laboring throughout his creation, to unveil these wonders, and to reveal them with love.

Prayer: Lord, you are the eternal refuge of your people; teach us to contemplate your wonders and to trust in your power. When fear surrounds us, remind us that you govern over history and that nothing escapes your provident care. Empower us to collaborate with you wherever you are at work, and to truly appreciate all that you do throughout creation. Amen.

GRANDES SON LAS MARAVILLAS DE DIOS POR TODA LA TIERRA

Salmo 46:2-8

¡Vengan, vengan a ver las grandes maravillas que Dios ha hecho en toda la tierra!

Salmo 46:8

El salmista proclama que, aunque la tierra tiemble y los montes se deslicen al mar, Dios es nuestro refugio y fortaleza. Nos habla en medio de en un contexto de amenazas reales contra el pueblo de Israel. No niega el peligro; lo enfrenta proclamando la soberanía de Dios sobre la historia y toda la creación.

Cuando el salmista invita a contemplar las “maravillas” del Señor, no se refiere únicamente a la belleza natural, sino también a sus actos poderosos de liberación y cuidado. Dios interviene, escucha, actúa, sostiene y gobierna. Hoy se nos invita a reconocer las maravillas que Dios hace; nos convoca a reconocer la fragilidad de nuestro entorno sin perder la confianza en que el Señor reina, nos alienta a que trabajemos junto a él para transformar el mundo y llenarlo de colores.

Reconocer a nuestro alrededor las maravillas que vemos y podemos disfrutar es un regalo de Dios. Nos corresponde descubrir donde Dios continúa actuando, juntarnos a él para obrar en en toda su creación, develar estas maravillas y mostrarlas con amor.

Oración: Señor, tú eres el refugio eterno del pueblo, enséñanos a contemplar tus maravillas y a confiar en tú poder. Cuando el temor nos rodee, recuérdanos que tú gobiernas sobre la historia y que nada escapa a tu cuidado providente. Capacítanos para colaborarte en donde estés obrando y en saber apreciar lo que haces en toda la creación. Amén.
