Anniversary of the Nueva Paz Mission Church

DO YOU BELIEVE IN JESUS’ AUTHORITY?

Mark 11: 27-33

“By what authority are you doing these things?” they asked. “And who gave you authority to do this?”

Jesus’ authority has always been a central theme for Christians, given its implication to obey and follow him. If we look at some of the situations that illustrate examples of his divine authority, we can see it in his miracles, in his teachings, when he forgives sins, and even in the comments of the crowd when they were amazed by his teaching because he didn’t speak like the scribes.

But, without a doubt, this authority came from God, and he had it not just because he was the Son of God, but because he dedicated his life to revealing his Father’s will. Today, after so many years on this journey of faith, we have to ask ourselves whether his teachings and commandments have served as inspiration in our own lives to bear witness to God’s will in them. If this is truly the case, then let us show our gratitude through our obedience and faith at all times.

Prayer: Lord and God, may my life always be guided and sustained under your authority so that it may always reflect God’s will. Amen.

¿CREES EN LA AUTORIDAD DE JESÚS?

Marcos 11: 27-33

…y le preguntaron: ¿Con qué autoridad haces todo esto? ¿Quién te dio

autoridad para hacerlo?

La autoridad de Jesús siempre ha sido un tema central para los cristianos y las cristianas por todo lo que implica obedecerle y seguirle. Si hacemos una mirada en algunos de los escenarios donde se ilustran ejemplos de su autoridad divina, se pueden notar en sus milagros, en sus enseñanzas, cuando perdona pecados e incluso, en los comentarios de la propia multitud cuando se asombra de su enseñanza porque no hablaba como los escribas.

Pero, sin duda alguna, esta autoridad vino de Dios. Y la tuvo no solo por ser Hijo de Dios, sino porque su vida la dedicó para manifestar la voluntad de su Padre. Hoy después de tantos años en este caminar en la fe tendríamos que preguntarnos si sus enseñanzas y mandamientos han servido de inspiración en nuestra vida para testificar la voluntad de Dios en ella. Si realmente es así, démosle nuestro agradecimiento mediante nuestra obediencia y fe en todo momento.

Oración: Señor y Dios, permite que mi vida siempre sea guiada y acompañada bajo tu autoridad de tal manera que siempre manifieste la voluntad de Dios en ella. Amén.
