The Peace We Need

John 14:27-31

 In these times, peace is an essential need. From the local and family levels to the global level, it seems there are forces, plans, and intentions aimed at denying us the peace we long for. Living in peace does not simply mean the absence of conflict; above all, it means a life marked by well-being, dignity, justice, purpose, and happiness.

The peace that Jesus proposes necessarily begins with ourselves–with the way we shape our daily lives, our relationships, and the way we contribute to the world. Rejecting everything that is unworthy or unjust in our thoughts, actions, and above all in our hearts is a path to finding the peace we need.

La Paz que necesitamos

Juan 14: 27-31

La paz les dejo, mi paz os doy....

En estos tiempos que corren, la paz es una necesidad esencial.  Desde el nivel local y familiar hasta el nivel global, parece que hay fuerzas, planes, intensiones de negarnos la anhelada paz. Vivir en paz, no significa solamente la ausencia de conflictos, significa más que nada una existencia con bienestar, dignidad, justicia, sentidos y felicidad.

La paz que propone Jesús comienza necesariamente por nosotros mismos, por la manera en que construimos nuestra vida cotidiana, nuestras relaciones, nuestra manera de aportar al mundo. Rechazar todo lo que sea indigno, injusto, en nuestros pensamientos, actuaciones y sobre todo de nuestro corazón, es un camino para encontrar la paz que necesitamos.

Jesús nos ofrece la paz que puede y debe brotar de nuestro interior. Una paz que nos haga acercarnos cada vez más al ser humano de bien que este mundo necesita. No es una paz que nos haga ser indiferente, “no buscarnos problemas”, sino todo lo contrario. Jesús nos invita a desechar y descartar todo lo atente con el bienestar interior, todo lo que nos empuje hacia caminos que nos alejen de su propuesta ética. Para establecer la paz a nuestro alrededor, debemos empezar por establecer la paz en nuestro interior.

Oración: Jesús, dame la paz que necesito, para inundar al mundo de la paz que merece. Amén
