DO YOU HAVE FAITH?

Mark 11: 11-26

“Have faith in God,” Jesus answered.

Words like these that Jesus had just spoken– “have faith in God” –are one of the assurances we offer someone when they are plagued by doubts and uncertainties. On this occasion, Jesus tells his disciples that when they pray and ask God for something, they must be confident that their prayers will be answered. They simply need to have faith to see God’s work in them. However, today we are neither strangers to nor distant from this reality; we need more answers from God in order to have faith.

But, why is it so hard for us to believe and embrace our faith? Don’t we believe in God, who sustains us, encourages us, and invites us to have hope?

For those who enjoy Christian music, there is a song often heard entitled “Creo en Dios” (I Believe in God), and when we reflect on its lyrics and theological content, we realize that it can truly reflect our feelings. We believe in God because He is our hope, and we trust that everything that happens in our lives is because He allows it. Let us walk together and invite our families and friends to live daily lives trusting that God invites us to have faith to see His miracles.

Prayer: Lord, this morning I ask you to strengthen my faith so that I may see your presence in every step I take. Amen.

¿TIENES FE?

Marcos 11: 11-26

… Jesús les dijo: Tengan fe en Dios

Marcos 11:22b

Palabras como estas que acaba de expresar Jesús tengan fe en Dios, es una de las seguridades que damos a alguien cuando tiene dudas de sus preguntas e inseguridades. En esta ocasión, Jesús les pide a sus discípulos que mientras oren y piden a Dios, tienen que tener la seguridad de que sus oraciones serán respondidas, solo necesitan tener fe para ver la obra de Dios en ella. Sin embargo, hoy no estamos ajenos ni distantes a esta realidad, necesitamos más respuestas de parte de Dios para luego tener fe.

Pero, ¿Por qué nos cuesta tanto creer y abrazarnos a la fe? ¿Acaso no creemos en Dios que nos sostiene, nos anima y nos invita a tener esperanza?

Para quienes les gusta las alabanzas cristianas hay un canto que se escucha a menudo que se titula “Creo en Dios”, y cuando reflexionamos en su letra y contenido teológico, nos damos cuenta que en verdad es nuestro sentir, creemos en Dios porque Él es nuestra esperanza y confiamos en que todo lo que obra en nuestra vida es porque así lo permite. Caminemos juntos e invitemos a nuestras familias y amistades a vivir nuestro día a día confiando en que Dios nos invita a tener fe para ver sus milagros. 

Oración: Señor, en esta mañana quiero pedirte que me fortalezcas en mi fe para ver cómo te manifiestas en cada paso que doy.  Amén
