LET US PRAY TO THE LORD

Psalm 10:1-18

O Lord, you will hear the desire of the meek

(Paraphrase of) Psalm 10:17

We may often feel God’s absence, but the right response isn’t to lose heart, but to entrust our problems to the Lord.

Faith assures us that wickedness will surely be caught in its own net, but all too often in life it’s the weak who are caught while the wicked go unpunished, clinging to false values, practical atheism, prosperity without morality, and self-assured complacency.

Three aspects must be kept in mind:

The Problem

The wicked are hostile in speech, murderous in intentions, and without compassion.

The Solution

Prayer asking for divine intervention to defend the weak and the truth, asking for the end of the powers of wickedness, without judgment.

The Assurance

The prayer is heard. Deliverance is complete.

No matter how powerful the threat or the enemy, prayer is sufficient, for the Lord is King and knows our needs and has promised to protect, lift up, and help.

Oración: May my trust always be in You; be our support in the midst of adversity. Amen.

OREMOS AL SEÑOR

Salmo 10:1-18

El Señor conoce nuestras necesidades y ha prometido proteger, levantar y ayudar

Salmo 10:14

Con frecuencia quizás sintamos la ausencia de Dios, pero la reacción correcta no es desalentarnos, sino entregarle el problema al Señor.

La fe afirma que es seguro que los malos serán atrapados en su propia red, pero con demasiada frecuencia en la vida son los débiles quienes son atrapados mientras los malos siguen con impunidad, con sus falsos valores, su ateísmo práctico, su prosperidad sin moralidad y teniendo una seguridad feliz en ellos mismos.

Hay que tener en cuenta tres aspectos:

El problema

El impío es hostil en su hablar, homicida en sus intenciones, sin compasión en su fuerza.

El recurso

La oración pidiendo intervención divina para defender al débil, a la verdad, pidiendo por el final del poder del impío, sin juicio.

La seguridad

La oración es escuchada. La liberación es total.

Por poderosa que sea la amenaza o el enemigo, la oración es suficiente, porque el Señor es Rey y conoce nuestras necesidades y ha prometido proteger, levantar y ayudar.

Oración: Que mi confianza esté siempre puesta en ti, se nuestro sostén en medio de las adversidades. Amén.
