DONT BE AFRAID ABOUT ANYTHING

Philippians  4: 4-7

Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to  God

Philippians 4:6 (NRSV)

            This biblical portion has always impacted me and has greatly marked my behavior in any adverse circumstance in life, be it pandemics, human miseries, or conflicts of all kinds.

            What are some of the responsibilities we assume when we become members of a church and are enlisted into the army of Jesus Christ? Are we disciplined? Do we give thanks for everything? What are the battles to be fought? What is the weaponry? Doesn’t the Bible have it? Where is the application of praise, the Word of God preached, Bible studies, testimonials, reading the Word “that arms us to the teeth” for the battles we will win? The apostle Paul tells us that “…we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”

            Dear brothers and sisters, let us remember the lyrics of the hymn “Firm and forward hosts of faith, without any fear that Jesus sees us.”

 

Prayer:  Our Father, thank you that we are always armed to overcome the battles of life, in which you are always at the forefront. May we face them confident in your incomparable power through Love as the most powerful weapon in history. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

NO SE AFLIJAN POR NADA

No se aflijan por nada, sino preséntenlo todo a Dios en oración; pídanle, y denle gracias también

 Filipenses 4:6

            Esta porción bíblica siempre me ha impactado, y ha marcado mucho mi comportamiento ante cualquier circunstancia adversa de la vida, sean pandemias, miserias humanas, o conflictos de todo tipo.

            ¿Cuáles son las responsabilidades que asumimos cuando nos hacemos miembros de una iglesia y nos enlistamos  en el ejército de Jesucristo? ¿Somos disciplinados? ¿Damos gracias por todo? ¿Cuááles son las batallas a librar? ¿Cuál es el armamento? ¿¿Acaso la Biblia no lo tiene? ¿Dónde está la aplicación de las alabanzas, la Palabra de Dios predicada, los estudios bíblicos, los testimonios, los devocionarios, la lectura de la Palabra que "nos arma hasta los dientes" para las batallas que ganaremos? El apóstol Pablo nos dice que “...somos más que vencedores por medio de aquel que nos amó”.

            Amados hermanos(as)  recordemos la letra del himno: "Firmes y adelante huestes de la fe, sin temor alguno que Jesús nos ve."

 

Oración: Padre Nuestro gracias porque nunca estamos desarmados para vencer las batallas de la vida, en las cuales siempre estás al frente. Que las enfrentemos confiados en tu incomparable poder a través del Amor como el arma más poderosa en la Historia. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén.
