HELP

Psalm 37:24

for it is God who is at work in you, enabling you both to will and to work for his good pleasure.

            In reading the Bible we find teaching about all the aspects of life, such as how to be a successful young man, how to forgive, how to choose the person to marry and create a happy family, what values develop good behavior, and and extensive list of the advice and commandments which our Creator prepared so that we may live a good life.

            How can we do all that God asks of us? Sometimes life is so complicated that it appears almost impossible to comply with all of it. But the Bible assures us that we can apply these teachings in all that we do. How so?

            Before Jesus’ death and resurrection people had to comply with a certain number of requirements, summed up in the Ten Commandments. People tried to fulfill and complete them, but there was a problem: they failed because they didn’t have enough strength to overcome the magnitude of the task..

            But the Bible assures us that, thanks to what Jesus did to reconcile us humans with god, now we can have the strength to listen to our Creator. The Holy Spirit lives in each one of us from the moment we believe in Jesus as God and Savior.

 

Prayer: Lord, thank you that by means of your Son Jesus we may now obey you because He gives us the needed strength to do it. Amen.

Porque Dios es el que en vosotros produce así el querer como el hacer, por su buena voluntad

Filipenses 2:13

            Al leer la Biblia hallamos enseñanzas acerca de todos los aspectos de la vida, como ser un joven exitoso, de qué manera perdonar, cómo elegir a la persona con quien casarnos y formar una familia feliz, cuáles son los valores para desarrollar la conducta, y una extensa lista de consejos y mandamientos que nuestro Creador preparó para que nos vaya bien la vida.

            ¿Cómo podemos hacer todo lo que Dios nos pide? A veces la vida es tan complicada que parece muy difícil cumplir con todo. Pero la Biblia asegura que podremos aplicar sus enseñanzas y principios en todo lo que hagamos. ¿De qué manera?

            Antes de la muerte y resurrección de Jesús, la gente tenía que cumplir con una determinada cantidad de requisitos, resumidos en los Diez Mandamientos. Las personas intentaban agradar a Dios y cumplirlos, pero había un problema: fracasaban porque no tenían fuerzas suficientes para vencer.

            Pero la Biblia asegura que, gracias a lo que Jesús hizo para reconciliar a los seres humanos con Dios, ahora podemos tener la fortaleza necesaria para hacerle caso a nuestro Creador. El Espíritu Santo vive en cada uno de nosotros desde el momento en que creemos en Jesús como Dios y Salvador.

 

Oración: Gracias Señor, porque por medio de tu Hijo Jesús hoy podemos obedecerte, porque Él nos da la fuerza necesaria para hacerlo. Amén.
