GOD ALWAYS HEARS US

Luke 18:1-8

And will not God grant justice to his chosen ones who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long in helping them?

Luke 18:7 (NRSV)

            God always hears us.  It is in the midst of tests and the most difficult times that we should hold on to Him, praying constantly and being doers of God’s Word.  We never should stop in our pleas. 

            This passage of the widow makes me think about those things that we want or we miss, and at times we question, why does God not answer us?  Nevertheless, the silence and lack of immediate response is also part of God’s answer to us. 

            We should act like the widow, not despairing before the good wishes, before the search for new horizons, before the dissatisfactions that life offers us.  Let us correct and take from it another experience, trusting that God is attentive and knows the requests of your heart. 

            When we pray without ceasing, we feel strong and invincible despite the doubts that we confront. Let us not stop praising and exalting God because God is the God of justice and equity, a God who listens.  Let us be patient in the midst of the crises that we live through.  Let us act wisely.  Let us cry always to God because God is always attentive to the cry of his sons and daughters. 

 

Prayer: God, you who listen to the cry of your daughters and sons, allow us to always look for you and not stop our prayers to you.  Amen.

DIOS SIEMPRE NOS ESCUCHA

Lucas 18:1-8

¿Acaso Dios no les hará justicia a sus elegidos, que día y noche claman a Él? ¿Se tardará en responderles?

Lucas  18:7

            Dios siempre nos escucha. Es en medio de las pruebas y los momentos más difíciles cuando debemos aferrarnos a Él, orar constantemente y ser hacedores de su Palabra. Nunca debemos desistir en nuestros ruegos.

            Este pasaje de la viuda me hace pensar en aquellas cosas que deseamos o añoramos, y en ocasiones cuestionamos, por qué Dios no nos responde. Sin embargo, el silencio y la no respuesta inmediata es también parte de la respuesta de Dios hacia nosotros.

            Debemos actuar como la viuda, no desmayar ante los buenos deseos, ante la búsqueda de nuevos horizontes; ante las insatisfacciones que nos depara la vida, corregir y tomar de ella una experiencia más, confiar que Dios está atento y conoce las peticiones de tu corazón.

            Cuando oramos sin cesar nos sentimos fuertes e invencibles ante las incertidumbres que afrontamos. No dejemos de adorar y exaltar a Dios, porque él es Dios de justicia, de equidad, un Dios que escucha. Seamos pacientes en medio de la crisis que se vive. Actuemos sabiamente. Aclamemos siempre a Dios pues Él siempre está atento al llamado de sus hijos e hijas.

 

Oración: Dios que escuchas el llanto de tus hijas e hijos, permite que siempre te busquemos y que no cesen nuestras oraciones hacia ti. Amén.
