TODAY’S YOUTH

Ecclesiastes 4

Better a poor but wise youth than an old but foolish king who no longer knows how to heed a warning.

Ecclesiastes 4:13 (NIV)

            To speak about the youth at this time of the world would be a subject of much interest and impact, given the importance the youth have, most specifically in these times.

            The Bible, as well as Jesus Christ, has much to say regarding the form of guiding children and youth. Jesus allowed the children to come to him. The apostle Paul exhorted parents with these words: raise them with discipline and instruct them in the love of God. Children and youth can distinguish between good and bad, to believe in the Savior and to live an upright life. Frequently they express their faith with great conviction.

            We know youth of this generation who, like the young Joseph of the Old Testament, who can say, “How can I do something so bad and sin against God?” Parents, teachers, and society in general, need to trust and further cultivate the potentials of goodness and straightforwardness there is in all youth.

 

Prayer: Beloved Lord, today we pray for the youth who know you and who have accepted you as their Savior. Bless them. In your name, Amen.

LOS JÓVENES DE HOY

Eclesiastés 4

Por otra parte, más vale el joven pobre pero sabio, que el rey viejo pero necio, porque éste no admite consejos

Eclesiastés 4:13

            Hablar sobre los jóvenes en este mundo actual sería un tema de mucho interés e impacto, debido a la importancia que tiene la juventud, sobre todo en estos tiempos.

            La Biblia tiene  mucho que decir en cuanto a la forma de guiar a los niños y jóvenes hasta Jesucristo. Jesús dejó que los niños fueran a Él. El Apóstol Pablo exhorta a los padres con las palabras: Críenlos con disciplina e instrúyalos en el amor de Dios. Los niños(as) y jóvenes pueden reconocer entre el bien y el mal, creer en el Salvador y vivir una vida recta. Ellos frecuentemente expresan su fe con gran convicción.

            Conocemos jóvenes de esta generación que  pueden decir como el joven José del Antiguo Testamento: ¿Cómo podré yo hacer algo tan malo y pecar contra Dios? Los padres, maestros,  y en general la sociedad, tienen que confiar y cultivar más las potencialidades de bondad y rectitud que hay en todo joven.

 

Oración: Amado Señor, oramos en este día por los jóvenes que te conocen y te han aceptado como su Salvador. Bendícelos. En Tu Nombre, amén.
