PRIVILEGE OF THE FAITHFUL

1 Corinthians 6:12-20

…By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also.

1  Corinthians  6:14 (NIV)

            Believers in Jesus Christ have the opportunity to be privileged, to the extent that we remain faithful to the Lord.

            The Christian’s loyalty allows the Holy Spirit to dwell in his heart.

            It is a divine privilege to be a temple of the Spirit of God. And the ineffable hope of those privileged in Christ is that we will be raised from the grave to live in the glory of the Risen One. For as the revelation says: the Spirit of the Father raised Jesus from the grave, and if that Spirit dwells in you and me, we have the promise that we shall be lifted up and exalted.

            How will that rising be? How will we be resurrected? How will the Spirit of God, who raised Christ from the dead, vivify us? That mystery belongs to the wisdom of God, and He alone knows how it is to be.

 

Prayer: Lord, let us be faithful to you and rejoice in the presence of your Holy Spirit in our hearts. Let us also live gloriously according to that promise. In your name we pray. Amen.

PRIVILEGIO DE LOS FIELES

1 Corintios 6:12-20

…Y así como Dios resucitó al Señor, también nos va a resucitar a nosotros por su poder.

1  Corintios 6:14

            Los creyentes en Jesucristo tenemos la oportunidad de ser privilegiados, en la medida en que nos mantenemos fieles al Señor.

            La lealtad del cristiano  permite al Espíritu Santo morar en su corazón.

            Divino privilegio el de ser templo del Espíritu de Dios. Y la esperanza inefable de los privilegiados en Cristo consiste en que seremos levantados de la sepultura para vivir en la gloria del resucitado. Porque según reza la revelación: el Espíritu del Padre levantó a Jesús de la tumba, y si ese Espíritu mora en ti y en mí, tenemos la promesa de que seremos alzados y exaltados.

            ¿Cómo será ese levantamiento? ¿Cómo seremos resucitados? ¿Cómo el Espíritu de Dios, que alzó a Cristo de entre los muertos, nos vivificará? Ese misterio pertenece a la sabiduría de Dios, y solo Él conoce cómo ha de ser.

 

Oración: Señor, permítenos serte fieles y gozarnos con la presencia de tu Espíritu Santo en nuestros corazones. Permítenos además, vivir gloriosamente de acuerdo con esa promesa. En tu nombre oramos. Amén.
