WELCOME TO MY HOME

Acts 16:11-15

… The Lord opened her heart to respond to Paul’s message.

Acts 16: 14b (NIV)

            In this passage we see the participation of a woman in the community of faith. Lydia found an oasis in the midst of that spiritual and moral desert that prevailed in that region.  

            This teaches us the commitment that we make on accepting Jesus Christ in our lives. Spiritual growth, through prayer and Bible reading, indicates to us the necessity of a surrendering as Christians in the service and support of our neighbor.

            Every human being has the need to be helped, be loved, and, in some moment of his life, transformed. Now, women’s participation is very important in our communities; and like Lidia, who did not hesitate to invite them to stay at her home, we too must be an example in this work that belongs to everyone who decides to follow our Father in his ways.

 

Prayer: Lord, may we, like Lidia, be of help to those in need of us. Amen.

Aniversario de la IPR de Palos

BIENVENIDOS A MI CASA

Hechos 16:11-15

…y el Señor abrió el corazón de ella para que estuviese atenta a lo que Pablo decía.

 Hechos 16:14b

            En este pasaje vemos la participación de la mujer en la comunidad de fe. Lidia encontró un oasis en medio de aquel desierto espiritual y moral que prevalecía en aquella región.

            Esto nos enseña el compromiso que hacemos al aceptar a Jesucristo en nuestras vidas. El crecimiento espiritual a través de la oración y la lectura de La Biblia, que es Palabra de Dios, nos indica la necesidad de una entrega como cristianos en el servicio y la ayuda al prójimo.

            Todo ser humano tiene la  necesidad de ser ayudado, amado y transformado en algún momento de su  vida.

            En este tiempo la participación de la mujer es muy importante en nuestras comunidades; y como Lidia, que no titubeó al invitarlos a hospedarse en su casa, debemos ser ejemplo en esta obra que es de todo el que decida seguir a nuestro Padre en sus caminos.

 

Oración: Señor, permite que como Lidia, podamos ayudar al que necesite de nosotros. Amén.
