ACCOMPANY US IN THE TRIALS

2 Timothy 2:14-24

Run away from adolescent cravings.  Instead, pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace. . .

2 Timothy 2:22a (CEB)

FLEE

1. From those things that can debilitate us in our Christian work, so that we don’t give opportunity to disobedience and disorder.

2. From all that is not right in the eyes of God and the light of God’s Word. 

3. From the bad company that carries you to vices and the path of perdition.

 

FOLLOW

1. Justice. Have respect for equality among all human beings and among our brothers and sisters and friends.  It is the best for our community when this justice which comes from God predominates.

2. Faith. Maintain hope that keeps us alive, that despite the difficulties and problems of material deficiencies, makes our lives survive and flourish every morning. 

3. Love.  Without love our life would be dry and empty.  Love renews us and gives our life true meaning of its existence. 

4. Peace.  To follow peace is to seek tranquility and calm that is so necessary to overcome the desperation of our daily life.  

 

Prayer: Lord, help us to overcome those things that we can avoid and to follow you in the midst of such trials and difficulties.  Amen.

ACOMPAÑANOS EN LAS PRUEBAS

2 Timoteo 2:14-24

Huye también de las pasiones juveniles, y sigue la justicia, la fe, el amor y la paz

2 Timoteo 2:22aThen

HUYE

1. De aquellas cosas que pueden debilitarnos en nuestro quehacer cristiano, porque así no le damos oportunidad a la desobediencia y al desorden.

2. De todo lo que no es correcto a los ojos de Dios y a la luz de Su palabra.

3. De las malas compañías que te llevan a los vicios y al camino de la perdición.

 

SIGUE

1. La justicia, el respeto a la igualdad entre todos los seres humanos, entre nuestros hermanos y amigos. Es lo mejor en nuestra comunidad, que predomine esa justicia que viene de Dios.

2. La fe: aquella esperanza que nos mantiene vivos, la que a pesar de las dificultades y problemas y de las carencias materiales, hace sobrevivir nuestras vidas y florece cada mañana.

3. El amor. Sin el amor nuestra vida estaría hueca y vacía. El amor nos renueva y le da a nuestra vida el verdadero sentido de su existir.

4. La paz. Seguir la paz es buscar la tranquilidad y la calma tan necesaria para superar la desesperación de nuestros días.

Oración: Señor, ayúdanos para vencer aquellas cosas que podemos evitar y seguirte en medio de tantas pruebas y dificultades. Amén.
