CELEBRATE THE GOD OF LIFE

Mark 12: 18-27

He is God not of the dead, but of the living; you are quite wrong.

Mark 12:27 (NRSV)

For humans life holds a great significance . . . . It is an especially precious good. Life is action and challenge; it is transcendence and spirituality. To live is to fully express feelings,0 recognize ourselves as accomplices in God’s plans and be co-artists in God’s creative work. For Christians, God is Life . . . and abundantly!

If you have ever thought that God is inert. . . you are wrong! God is active and is acting for the good in all times and places. The God of Full Life will never be spirit to those who extend their arms to violence. God is for the daring lives who are resurrected in a warm embrace and at a shared table.

Today the God of Love and Hope strives to restore the memories of his pilgrimage through history and continues to invite us to celebrate life in Jesus Christ . . . life rich and abundant in the Spirit!

 

Prayer: God of Life, we thank you for your presence in our daily walk. May your Spirit dwell in us so that we may celebrate with you the life that you give us; in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

CELEBRA AL DIOS DE LA VIDA

Marcos 12: 18-27

Dios no es Dios de muertos, sino Dios de vivos; así que vosotros mucho erráis.

Marcos 12: 27

Para los seres humanos, la vida tiene un gran significado… ¡Es un bien muy preciado! Vida es acción, desafío; es trascendencia y espiritualidad. Vivir es expresar a plenitud los sentimientos; reconocerse cómplices de los planes de Dios y ser co-artistas de su obra creadora. Para los cristianos/as Dios es Vida… ¡y en abundancia!

Si has pensado alguna vez que Dios es inerte… ¡Te equivocas! ¡Él es activo y actúa –para bien- en todo tiempo y lugar! El Dios de la Vida Plena nunca será espíritu para los que extienden sus brazos a la violencia. Dios es para los vivos atrevidos que resucitan en un cálido abrazo y en una mesa compartida.

Hoy, el Dios del Amor y la Esperanza, se empeña en traer las memorias de su peregrinar por la Historia y, nos continúa invitando a celebrar la vida en Jesucristo. ¡Vida Rica y Abundante de Espíritu!

 

Oración: Dios de la Vida, agradecemos tu presencia en nuestro andar cotidiano. Que tu Espíritu habite en nosotros/as para que podamos celebrar contigo la vida que nos regalas.  En el nombre de Jesucristo, Amén.
