WHAT WILL THE LORD OF THE VINEYARD DO?

Mark 12: 1-12

‘The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone;

Life in power is living in permanent temptation. If we let ourselves be carried away by that power, we humiliate the lives of others, we abuse our power by acting according to our conveniences, and no matter how much we disguise it, the final result is not acting for the benefit of others or serving them half-heartedly, not giving our best: love and selflessness.

This parable challenges us to live in  complete courage and honesty. Jesus is the cornerstone and the foundation of our lives. And just as he has the authority to take away his vineyard from those who threaten it, he also gives his vineyard to those who in humility are aware of a call to work, to serve and to help their neighbor.

God continues to open new paths. His plan is perfected in those who serve him with complete justice and goodness. God gives you the power to do what is right, not to maltreat and abuse.

 

Prayer: Lord Jesus, cleanse my life from all ambition and power and all that comes with it. Glorify my life with your love and in solidarity with your project of justice. Amen.

¿QUÉ HARÁ EL SEÑOR DE LA VIÑA?

Marcos 12: 1-12

La piedra que desecharon los edificadores ha venido a ser cabeza de ángulo.

Marcos 12: 10

Vivir en poder es vivir en una tentación permanente. Si nos dejamos llevar por ese poder humillamos la vida de los demás, abusamos de nuestro poder actuando según nuestras conveniencias que por mucho disfraz el saldo final es no actuar en beneficio del otro o la otra o le sirve a medias, no dando lo mejor con amor y desinterés.

Esta parábola nos confronta con total valentía y honestidad. Jesús es la piedra angular y fundamental de nuestras vidas. Y así como tiene autoridad para quitarle su viña a quienes atentan contra ella también da su viña a quienes desde la humildad son consciente de un llamado a trabajar, servir y ayudar al prójimo.

Dios sigue abriendo nuevos caminos. Su plan se perfecciona en quienes le sirven con toda justicia y bondad. Dios te da poder para hacer el bien, no para maltratar y ultrajar.

 

Oración: Señor Jesús, limpia mi vida de toda ambición de poder y todo lo que trae consigo. Glorifica mi vida por tu amor y en la solidez de tu proyecto de justicia. Amén.
