LIVE THE JOY, CONSTRUCT THE KINGDOM

Matthew 5:1-12

Happy are the poor, for the kingdom of heaven is theirs. (NIV)

Matthew 5:3

We are living in a world surrounded by “systems” that often do not pay attention or work to solve situations that affect the neediest groups, that do not address the most critical problems of vital importance for creation. It is mediated and resources are allocated at convenience, where those who have no way to support themselves–the disadvantaged–are exposed.

In the midst of this world, the Kingdom of Heaven is born; it proposes a network of just relationships, a kingdom that is here today, and we collaborate in its construction. The Beatitudes reveal God’s will for all people. It would be difficult to have to choose one of them, but these character qualities are not individual, they are closely related, so that none of them can exist separately from the others, and all of these expose the virtues of the kingdom for the disadvantaged, the option for the poor, the option for life.

 

Prayer: Dear God, we ask that the joy that spreads grow in each of your daughters and sons to collaborate in your kingdom of love, service and justice. Amen.

VIVIR LA ALEGRÍA, CONSTRUIR EL REINO.

Mateo 5:1-12

Dichosos los pobres en espíritu, porque el Reino de los cielos les pertenece.

Mateo 5:3

Estamos viviendo en un Mundo, rodeados de “sistemas” que muchas veces no prestan atención o trabajan por solucionar situaciones que afectan a los grupos más necesitados, que no se empeña con los problemas más críticos y de vital importancia para la Creación. Se mediatiza y se destinan recursos a conveniencia. Donde los que no tienen de cómo sustentarse, los desfavorecidos, quedan expuestos.

En medio de este mundo nace el Reino de los cielos, propone una red de relaciones justas, un Reino que está aquí hoy y colaboramos a su construcción cada día. Las bienaventuranzas revelan la voluntad de Dios para todas las personas. Difícil sería tener que escoger una de ellas, pero estas cualidades de carácter, no son individuales, se relacionan estrechamente, de modo que ninguna de ellas puede existir separada de las demás y todas estas exponen las virtudes del Reino por los desfavorecidos, la opción por los pobres, la opción para la vida.

 

Oración: Amado Dios te pedimos que crezca en cada una de tus hijas e hijos la alegría, la dicha que contagia para colaborar en tu Reino de amor, servicio y justicia. Amén.
