SHOW GOD MORE WITH YOUR ACTIONS THAN WITH YOUR WORDS

Matthew 7: 21-29

But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is a foolish man who built his house on sand.

Matthew 7:26 (NIV)

Often, we believe that talking about God is enough. For some people repeating over and over again that they believe in God is the most frequent Christian practice. However, their actions, their way of living, of relating with other people denies, in a certain way, that same God that they only mention with their voice. We must speak of Jesus with the same force that we give testimony of Him, and for that, our whole life must be focused on doing His will, which is none other than to act in favor of goodness, justice, and dignity. The best way to show God is to act as Jesus did. We can do this by respecting and serving, being responsible for the welfare of those around us, showing compassion to those who suffer, confronting injustice and loving humanity unconditionally.

 

Prayer: Lord, help us to lower our voices and raise our actions to show your will, so that we may show your love and reach out to those who need us today. Amen.

MUESTRA A DIOS MÁS CON TUS ACCIONES, QUE CON TUS PALABRAS.

Mateo 7: 21-29

Y cualquiera que me oye estas palabras y no las hace, le compararé con un hombre insensato, que edificó su casa sobre la arena.

Muchas veces creemos que hablar de Dios es suficiente. Para algunas personas repetir una y otra vez que creen en Dios, es la práctica cristiana más frecuente, sin embargo, sus acciones, su manera de vivir, de relacionarse con el resto de las personas niega, de cierta forma, a ese mismo Dios que solo menciona con su voz. Debemos hablar de Jesús con la misma fuerza que debemos dar testimonio de Él, y para eso, toda nuestra vida debe estar, enfocada en hacer su voluntad, que no es otra que obrar a favor del bien, de la justicia, de la dignidad. La mejor forma de mostrar a Dios, es actuando como Jesús lo hizo. Respetando y sirviendo, siendo responsables del bienestar de quienes nos rodean, mostrando compasión frente a quienes sufren, enfrentando las injusticias y amando incondicionalmente a la humanidad.

 

Oración: Señor, ayúdanos a bajar la voz y poner en alto las acciones que muestren tu voluntad, que podamos mostrar tu amor y llegar a quienes hoy nos necesitan. Amén.
