WHAT BELONGS TO GOD

Mark 12: 13-17

“Give to the emperor the things that are the emperor’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”

Mark 12:17 (NRSV)

The Christian is a citizen not only of a country, but also of a Kingdom, the Kingdom of Heaven. He must not fail in his responsibilities to the Lord. We not only have to comply as good citizens; we are also called to give to God what is God’s. God called us and chose us, gave us gifts and abilities. God gave us his Spirit to make his reign visible here on earth. We develop Christian behavior as a good human being, with principles of well-being, accompaniment, justice and hope, this is what we must give to God.

May our time, our praises and gratitude truly show in the daily life we live under God’s will. Giving God what belongs to Him is having the opportunity to make sense of His unconditional love, His mercy and free forgiveness and to live under His grace.

 

Prayer: Lord, may we always be able to give you what belongs to you and which in your love and kindness your have given us; help us to life a life of integrity. Amen.

A DIOS LO QUE LE PERTENECE.

Marcos 12: 13-17

Dad al Cesar lo que es del Cesar y a Dios lo que es de Dios.

Marcos 12: 17

El cristiano es un ciudadano no solo de un país, sino también de un Reino, el Reino de los cielos. No debe faltar a los deberes del Señor. Tenemos que cumplir como buenos ciudadanos, pero también estamos llamados a darle a Dios lo que es de Dios. Nos llamó, nos eligió. Nos dio dones y capacidades. Nos dio su espíritu para hacer su reino visible aquí en la tierra. Desarrollamos una conducta cristiana de buen ser humano, con principios de bienestar, compañía, justicia y esperanza, esto es lo que debemos darle a Dios. 

Que nuestro tiempo, nuestras alabanzas y gratitudes muestren verdaderamente en el cotidiano que actuamos bajo la voluntad de Dios. Darle a Dios lo que le pertenece es tener la oportunidad de dar sentido a su amor incondicional, su misericordia y perdón gratuito y vivir bajo su gracia.

 

Oración: Señor, que siempre podamos darte lo que te pertenece y que en tu amor y bondad nos ha dado, ayúdanos a vivir una vida integra. Amén.
