THE MESSAGE IS WHAT IS IMPORTANT

1 Corinthians 15: 1-11

Whether then, it is I or they, this is what we preach, and this is what you believed.

When we read the text we understand the importance of humility. The central role is played by the message, not by the preacher. I have heard on many occasions that it is not the same when the pastor preaches as when another person in the community does it.

The Word of God is valuable in itself, for everything it represents and for the transforming power it has in our lives. It is as true that the leaders of our church receive training to develop the Ministry of the Word, as it is that, in his sovereignty, God reveals and manifests himself through any person. Let us look at examples from the Bible. Moses, Samuel, Jeremiah, Esther, Mary Magdalene, were different in terms of their education, culture, life stories; but they were chosen by God to carry his message.

Let us not remain silent for fear of being unprepared. God enables us through different ways so that his message can be shared.

 

Prayer: God of life, allow us to be your instruments and share your message of Salvation. Amen.

LO IMPORTANTE ES EL MENSAJE

1 Corintios 15: 1-11

Lo que importa no es si he sido yo o han sido ellos, sino que este es nuestro mensaje y que esto es lo que ustedes han creído.

1 Corintios 15:11

Cuando leemos el texto comprendemos la importancia de la humildad. El papel central lo juega el mensaje, no el predicador. He escuchado en muchas ocasiones que no es lo mismo cuando predica el pastor o pastora que cuando lo hace otra persona de la comunidad.

La Palabra de Dios vale por sí misma. Por todo lo que representa y por el poder transformador que tiene en nuestras vidas. Tan cierto es que los líderes de nuestra iglesia reciben preparación para desarrollar el Ministerio de la Palabra, como que, en su soberanía, Dios se revela y manifiesta a través de cualquiera persona. Miremos ejemplos de la Biblia.  Moisés, Samuel, Jeremías, Ester, María Magdalena, eran diferentes en cuanto a su educación, cultura, historias de vida; pero fueron escogidas por Dios para llevar su mensaje.

No nos quedemos en silencio por temor a la falta de preparación. Dios capacita por diferentes vías para que su mensaje sea compartido.

 

Oración: Dios de la vida, permítenos ser instrumentos tuyos y compartir tu mensaje Salvación. Amén.
