DON’T JUDGE

Luke 6: 39-42

“Why do you look at the speck of dust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?  (NIV)

Luke 6:41

This is one of Jesus’ many teachings that we are exposed to. Criticism that is not at all constructive toward others, discrepancies, different ideas and thoughts regarding certain actions, make our projections a constant evaluation of the actions of others.

Judging and questioning are not values of the Kingdom of God. On the contrary, they say a lot about our human condition, marked by apathy, irresponsibility and the lack of recognition of the virtues of those around us. These are times to look more at ourselves than at others; to become aware of our faults and errors and approach them with humility and sincerity. Let us understand that God made us diverse, and that this diversity is not to be judged. It is, above all, to be embraced in the love of God.

 

Prayer: Lord, teach me not to condemn, not to judge those who do the right thing, those who try to do it according to their abilities, those who, with all humility, wish to transform life from their heart. Help me to look first at my actions so I can correct myself and be the human being you expect me to be. Amen.

NO JUZGUES

LUCAS 6: 39-42

¿Por qué miras la paja del ojo de tu hermano, y no miras la viga que está en tu propio ojo?

Lucas 6:41

Esta es una de las tantas enseñanzas de Jesús que nos ponen al descubierto. Las críticas para nada constructivas hacia los demás, las discrepancias, las ideas y pensamientos diferentes ante ciertas actuaciones, hacen de nuestras proyecciones una constante evaluación del hacer de otros.

Juzgar y cuestionar no son valores del Reino de Dios. Todo lo contrario, dicen mucho de nuestra condición humana, marcada por apatía, la irresponsabilidad y él no reconocimiento de las virtudes de quienes están a nuestro alrededor. Son tiempos de mirarnos más a nosotros mismo que a los demás. De tomar conciencia de nuestras faltas y errores y acercarnos con humildad y sinceridad. Entendamos que Dios nos hizo diversos y que esa diversidad no es para ser juzgada, es sobre todo, para ser abrazada en el amor de Dios.

 

Oración: Señor, enséñame a no condenar, a no juzgar a quienes hacen lo correcto, a quienes intentan hacer desde sus capacidades, a quienes con toda humildad desean de corazón transformar la vida. Ayúdame a mirarme primero en mis actuaciones para corregir y ser el ser humano que tú esperas que sea. Amén.
