WHAT IS THE SEED WE ARE PLANTING?

James 3:16 - 4:3

Certainly we need much spiritual maturity, much serenity and knowledge of God, in order not to succumb to the manifestations of selfishness, violence, and  insensitivity that we have around us. Daily we are impacted by the actions of people who do not control their frustrations, their pains, their “human miseries,” from family conflicts to international wars that end the lives of thousands of innocent people.

Faced with this, we must turn our gaze towards ourselves, towards our inner self, towards the way in which we grow spiritually, relate to others and contribute to this world. As for those of us who are committed to live from the ethical proposal of Jesus, we have a double need to take this look at ourselves, weighing with the values of the Gospel. We need people capable of sowing seeds that bear more and more fruits that do good, that restore peace, that put an end to expressions of hatred and indifference, and for this, we must begin by uprooting from ourselves everything that puts at risk the dignity and integrity of every human being around us.

 

Prayer: God fill me with your wisdom and love. May I be a living testimony of your presence in my life.

¿Cuál es la semilla que estamos sembrando?

 Santiago 3:16 - 4:3

Ciertamente necesitamos mucha madurez espiritual, mucha serenidad y conocimiento de Dios, para no sucumbir frente a las manifestaciones de egoísmos, violencias, insensibilidad que tenemos a nuestro alrededor. Diariamente somos impactados por las acciones de personas que no controlan sus frustraciones, sus dolores, sus “miserias humanas”, desde conflictos familiares hasta guerras internacionales que acaban con la vida de miles de inocentes.

Frente a esto, debemos voltear nuestra mirada, hacia nosotros mismos, hacia nuestro interior, hacia la manera en que crecemos espiritualmente, nos relacionamos y aportamos a este mundo. En el caso de aquellas y aquellos que apostamos por vivir desde la propuesta ética de Jesús, tenemos una necesidad doble de hacer esa mirada teniendo en cuenta los valores del Evangelio. Necesitamos personas, capaces de sembrar semillas que den cada vez más frutos que hagan bien, que restablezcan la paz, que acaben con las expresiones de odios y las indiferencias y para ello, debemos empezar por arrancar de nosotros mismos, todo lo que ponga en riesgo la dignidad, la integridad de cada ser humano a nuestro alrededor.

 

Oración: Dios lléname de tu sabiduría y tu amor. Permite que pueda ser un testimonio vivo de tu presencia en mi vida.
