DIVINE JUSTICE

Ezekiel 18: 21-28

“But if a wicked person turns away from all the sins they have committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, that person will surely live; they will not die.”

Ezekiel 18:21 (NIV)

God is a God of love, but He is also a God of perfect justice. His perfect love makes Him merciful to those who recognize their sins and turn to Him, but He cannot turn a blind eye to those who sin willingly. In a similar way, we should not rejoice in the misfortunes of unbelievers. Instead, we should do everything in our power to share our faith with them. A typical childish response to punishment is to say, “That’s not fair!” In reality, God is just, but we have broken the laws. It is not God who must live according to our ideas of justice, but rather, we who must live according to His. Do not waste too much time looking for excuses to evade God’s law; instead, live according to His standards.

Prayer: Beloved Father, help us to always walk according to your ways, and may we be able to guide others to you. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

LA JUSTICIA DIVINA

Ezequiel 18: 21-28

Mas el impío, si se apartare de todos sus pecados que hizo, y guardare todos mis estatutos e hiciere según el derecho y la justicia, de cierto vivirá; no morirá.

Ezequiel 18:21

Dios es un Dios de amor, pero también es un Dios de perfecta justicia. Su amor perfecto hace que sea misericordioso con aquellos que reconocen sus pecados y se vuelven a Él, pero no puede hacer la vista gorda con los que pecan voluntariamente. Del mismo modo, no debemos regocijarnos por las desgracias de los inconversos. En vez de eso, debemos hacer todo lo que esté a nuestro alcance para compartirles nuestra fe.Una típica respuesta infantil ante el castigo es decir: "¡No es justo!" En realidad, Dios es justo, pero nosotros hemos quebrantado las leyes. No es Dios quien debe vivir de acuerdo con nuestras ideas de justicia, sino nosotros debemos vivir de acuerdo con las suyas. No desperdicie mucho tiempo buscando los pretextos para eludir la ley de Dios, en vez de eso, viva de acuerdo a sus normas.

Oración: Padre amado, ayúdanos a estar siempre en tus caminos y permite que podamos guiar a otras personas a ti. En el nombre de Jesús, amén.
