DO WE SEEK TO  KNOW MORE OF GOD?

1 Corinthians 2:6-10

The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

Are we seeking to understand more about God? What are the most hidden mysteries of his infinite love for his creation? Faced with these questions, we realize that there are mysteries that are beyond our sight, beyond our human understanding. In this text, Paul says that God has revealed a great mystery to us through his Holy Spirit. It’s as if he has given us a key to open a door that was previously closed! The apostle highlights the contrast between human wisdom and divine wisdom.

Let’s consider that sometimes when we speak to God and make a request, he answers us with a mystery for us to decipher, to find the way together with him. Let’s take a piece of paper and write down each of those occasions when this has happened, fold it, and take it to church to give thanks to God for how, through his Holy Spirit, he acts and reveals himself in our lives.

¿BUSCAMOS ENTENDER MÁS DE DIOS?

1 Corintios 2:6-10

(…) porque el Espíritu de Dios lo examina todo, hasta los secretos más profundos (…)

1 Corintios 2:10b

¿Buscamos entender más de Dios? ¿Cuáles son los misterios más ocultos de su amor infinito por su creación? Ante estas interrogantes nos percatamos que hay misterios que están más allá de nuestras miradas, más allá de nuestra comprensión humana. En este texto Pablo dice que Dios nos ha revelado un gran misterio a través de su Espíritu Santo. ¡Es como si nos hubiera dado una llave para abrir una puerta que antes estaba cerrada! El apóstol destaca el contraste entre la sabiduría humana con la sabiduría divina.

Pensemos en que en ocasiones cuando le hablamos a Dios y le hacemos alguna petición, él nos responde con un misterio para que nosotros lo descifremos, encontremos el camino junto a él. Tomemos un papel y escribamos cada una de esas ocasiones que ha sucedido, doblémoslo y lo llevaremos a la iglesia para dar gracias a Dios por como por medio de su Santo Espíritu actúa y se revela en nuestra vida.
