Fulfill Our Mission with Humility and Goodwill.

Mark 6:7-13

Our words and actions aren’t always well received. Many people are  busy, discouraged, and hopeless, which sometimes makes it impossible to talk to them about faith, about love, about hope, as if it were impossible to imagine a world where those are the primary values. Nevertheless, we have been called by the same Jesus to flood this world with messages and acts that allow many to find meaning

Accepting Jesus is also to accept that we have a mission to fulfill, that we have a message to give and for that we should clothe ourselves with humility, kindness, love, and hope. May those we meet along the way sense the need to transform their lives and to assert good over evil.

Jesus sends us on the way two by two (in community) with sandals (humility), one cloak (simplicity), knowing where to stay and where to shake the dust off (dignity) and gives us a clear mission to help others to leave behind what torments them, what makes them lose faith, that which hinders them from helping those around them.

It is up to us to ensure that others can hear the Good News and become good human beings.

Prayer: God, help us always to respond with humility and good will in our commission. A,em.

Cumplir con nuestra co-misión con humildad y buena voluntad

Marcos 6:7-13

No siempre nuestra predicación o acción es bien recibida, hay muchas personas ocupadas, desalentadas y desesperanzadas, que hace imposible a veces, hablarles de fe, de amor, de esperanza, como si fuera imposible imaginar un mundo donde los primero sea siempre esos valores. Sin embargo, hemos sido llamad@s, por el mismo Jesús, para inundar esta tierra de mensajes y acciones que permita a muchos encontrar un sentido.

Aceptar a Jesús, es también aceptar que tenemos una misión que cumplir, que tenemos un mensaje que dar y para eso, debemos revestirnos de humildad, bondad, amor y esperanza. Que quienes nos encontremos en el camino, sientan la necesidad de transformar sus vidas y hacer valer el bien, por encima del mal. Jesús nos envía al camino, de dos en dos (en comunidad) con sandalias (humildad), con apenas una túnica (sencillez), sabiendo donde quedarnos y donde sacudirnos el polvo (dignidad) y nos da una misión clara, ayudar a otros a dejar atrás lo que les atormenta, lo que les hace infelices, lo que le impide dar y ayudar a quienes le rodean. De nosotros depende que otros puedan escuchar la Buena Noticia y convertirse en un ser humano de bien.

Oración: Dios ayúdanos a responder siempre con humildad y buena voluntad en nuestra comisión. Amén.
