SHEBA VISITS SOLOMON

1 Kings 10:1-10

Praise be to the LORD your God, who has delighted in you and placed you on the throne of Israel. Because of the LORD’s eternal love for Israel, he has made you king to maintain justice and righteousness.”

1 Kings 10:9 (NIV)

This passage recounts the visit of the Queen of Sheba, who traveled to Jerusalem to test Solomon’s wisdom, having heard rumors of his fame. The queen challenged him with difficult questions, but she was astonished to find that Solomon’s wisdom and prosperity were even greater than she had heard, and she acknowledged that all of this came from God, who had granted him such greatness as a result of his conduct and love for Israel.

As a token of her admiration and respect, the Queen of Sheba gave Solomon a large quantity of gold, spices, and precious stones. Like the Queen of Sheba, we too recognize that God is the great architect of our lives. He knows what to give each of us so that we may be worthy of his grace. God weaves our paths!

Prayer: Creator, make me an instrument of your peace and wisdom, that I may reflect in others all the love you pour out on me. Amen.

SABÁ VISITA A SALOMÓN

1 Reyes 10:1-10

Sabá le dijo a Salomón: “Bendito sea el Señor, tu Dios, que se ha complacido en ti y que por el amor eterno que le tiene a Israel, te ha elegido para colocarte en el trono de Israel y te ha hecho rey para que gobiernes con justicia”.

1 Reyes 10:9

Este pasaje nos narra la visita de la reina Sabá, quien fue a Jesuralén a poner a prueba la sabiduría de Salamón, debido a los rumores sobre su fama. La reina lo pone a prueba con preguntas difíciles, sin embargo, quedó asombrada al ver que la sabiduría y la prosperidad de Salomón eran aún mayores de lo que había escuchado y reconoció que todo esto provenía de Dios, quien le había concedido tal grandeza como resultado de su conducta y amor por Israel.

Sabá, como muestra de su admiración y respeto, le dio a Salomón una gran cantidad de oro, especias y piedras preciosas. Así como Sabá, nosotras y nosotros, reconocemos que Dios es el gran diseñador de nuestras vidas. Él sabe qué darnos a cada uno para ser dignos de su Gracia. ¡Dios teje nuestros caminos!

Oración: Creador, hazme instrumento de tu paz y de tu sabiduría, que pueda reflejar en otras personas todo el amor que derramas en mí. Amén.
