COME AND SEE
John 1: 45-46
Nathaniel said
to him “Can any good come from Nazareth?”
And Phillip said to him,
“Come and see”.
John 1: 46
Frequently, on being converted to Christ, we hear it said that
God is calling us. On other occasions we proclaim the same thing through song,
but we know what God is calling us to, the exhortation is plain: Go out unto the world and preach the Gospel.
That’s why I’d like to reflect on the call made to Nathaniel in
this text; since it’s through him we find a practical lesson, a spontaneous and
effective evangelism. Like Philip we are called to approach our neighbor. We
can all find our own Nathaniel and be able to clearly and sincerely share with
him who we’ve known (of whom was it
written, the son of Joseph…). So challenge your Nathaniel to experience it
for himself. A single phrase can be the key to bring other people to know
Jesus: Come and see.
We have been charged to announce the good news; we should do it
in a simple and practical way. One doesn’t have to have a degree in theology,
we’re all enabled. Get busy like Philip and share Christ from the perspective
of your own experiences.
Prayer: Thank you Lord for
persisting in extending the call to your sons and daughters. Help us to share your
message and be the agent for others to know and follow you. Amen.

bueno?”

Cuando nos convertimos a
Cristo escuchamos frecuentemente que se nos dice: Dios nos está llamando, otras
ocasiones lo cantamos, pero sabemos: ¿A qué nos está llamado el Señor? La
exhortación es clara: Id por todo el mundo y predicar el evangelio.
Es por ello que me gustaría reflexionar en este
texto en el que se le hace el llamado a Nataniel, pues en él encontramos una
enseñanza práctica, un evangelismo espontáneo y eficaz. Al igual que Felipe
acerquémonos a una persona. Todos podemos encontrar a un Natanael para poder
compartirle de manera clara y sincera a quien hemos conocido, (de quién se
había escrito, el hijo de José…). Retemos a nuestro Natanael a experimentar
por él mismo, una sola frase puede ser la llave para permitir a otros conocer a
Jesús: Ven y ve
La buena noticia se nos ha encargado anunciarla,
debemos hacerlo de forma simple y práctica, no necesitas estar graduado de
Teología, todos estamos capacitados, anímate y al igual que Felipe comparte a
Cristo a través de tus propias experiencias.
Oración: Gracias Señor, por seguir extendiendo el llamado
a tus hijos e hijas. Ayúdanos a compartir tu mensaje y a posibilitar que muchas
personas te conozcan y te sigan. Amén.
