Anniversary of the IPR in Palos
THE REFRESHING DEW OF
GOD
HOSEA 14:5
He saved us through
the washing of rebirth
and renewal by the
Holy Spirit.
Titus 3:5
Dew is a source of freshness. It is nature’s provision for renewing the
surface of the earth. And without it the vegetation would die. This great value
of dew is that which is recognized with great frequency in the Scriptures. It
is used as a symbol of spiritual refreshment. Just the same as nature uses the bath
of dew, so too does the Lord renew his believers.
Many Christians don’t
realize the importance of spiritual dew in their lives, and consequently lack
freshness and vigor. Their spirits falter for lack of dew.
While there is heat
or wind the dew never collects; the temperature must diminish for it, the wind
must cease, and the air needs to reach a certain state of freshness and repose,
in other words, of an absolute repose, before it may give its invisible particles
of succulence to sprinkle the grass or flower.
In the same way,
God’s grace doesn’t come to console the soul of human beings until it has
serenely and completely reached the state of repose that it should. The haste
and turbulence of the despondent soul will impede feeling the dew of God. Wait
before God until you feel saturated with his presence, and afterwards proceed
to fulfill your next duty with the new freshness and vigor of Christ.
Prayer: Celestial Father, I give you thanks in this
day because I know that I will always have your refreshing dew to calm me from
the heat and the hurriedness of daily life. Amen.

ROCÍO REFRESCANTE DE DIOS
OSEAS
14:5
Por
medio del lavamiento nos ha hecho nacer de nuevo;
por
medio del Espíritu Santo nos ha dado nueva vida

3:5
El
rocío es una fuente de frescura. Es la provisión de la naturaleza para renovar
la superficie de la tierra. Y si no fuese por él, moriría la vegetación. Este
gran valor del rocío es el que se reconoce con mucha frecuencia en las
Escrituras. Se usa como símbolo de refrigerio espiritual. Lo mismo que la
naturaleza está bañada de rocío, así también el Señor renueva a los suyos.
Muchos
cristianos no se dan cuenta de la importancia del rocío espiritual en sus
vidas, y como consecuencia, carecen de frescura y vigor. Sus espíritus
desfallecen por falta de rocío.
Mientas
hay calor o viento, el rocío nunca se junta. Para ello la temperatura debe
disminuir, el viento debe cesar y el aire tiene que llegar a un cierto estado
de frescura y reposo, de un reposo absoluto por así decir, antes de que pueda
dar sus partículas invisibles de jugosidad para rociar la hierba o la flor. De
la misma manera, la gracia de Dios no llega a consolar el alma del ser humano
hasta que se ha alcanzado serenamente y por completo el estado de reposo que se
debe. La prisa y la turbulencia del alma abatida te impedirán sentir el rocío
de Dios. Espera delante de Dios hasta que te sientas saturado con su presencia;
y después marcha a cumplir con tu próximo deber con el nuevo frescor y vigor de
Cristo.
Oración:
Padre celestial, te doy gracias en este día porque sé que siempre tendré tu
rocío refrescante para calmarme del calor y de la prisa de la vida cotidiana. Amén.
