FREE FROM SIN

PSALM 19

But who can discern their own errors? Forgive my hidden faults.   (NIV)

Psalm 19:12

We experience forgiveness of sins when we surrender our heart to Jesus and believe in him as God and Savior. In other words, we give Jesus control of our spirit, our soul and body, and we allow him to guide our lives. Afterward, we experience a new life, full of gifts and God’s blessings. We become new people! One of the most important secrets to grow and triumph in life, is that each day we free ourselves from old sins, whether or not we have realized having made them.

At times, during our chores and activities, we say things we know are wrong, or we allow bad thoughts to spin about in our minds. Perhaps an incorrect look, a correct action we could have taken but didn’t, things that we accumulate during the day and need to ask God that he forgives us for them. Let us pay attention to this counsel: that each morning we ask God in prayer that he help us to obey him and not to commit sins.

Later, as night falls and before going to sleep, may we speak to him and ask him for forgiveness. When we repent, Jesus removes the sin and the blame from our life. We can have freedom and the purity to continue forward. May we go to bed with a clear heart.

Prayer: As the hymn says, “forgive if I was a cause of pain,” Lord. Amen.

LIBRES DEL PECADO

Salmo 19

¿Quién podrá entender sus propios errores? Líbrame de los que me son ocultos

Salmos 19:12
