WAITING WITH PATIENCE

James 5:7-8

So Abraham obtained the promise by showing patience.

Hebrews 6:15 (CEB)

            One of the essential ingredients of life is patience.  No one can live a successful life without it because, in the end, it is basic to move toward all we want to nail down, including the development of healthy and fruitful interpersonal relations.

            Patience takes time.  It means learning to wait with a positive attitude, one that does not collapse before a delay but one that strengthens the means of getting close to the accomplishment of all that is longed for.  We should be patient in recognizing the harvest that we have sown, even when some time passes before we can reap the values, the friendships and the fulfillment of our objectives. 

            We should also be patient in the way we treat others.  This at times costs us a lot.  We have people around us whose behavior is unbearable for us.  It is here where we most need patience.  Let us always remember the patience that God has with us and let us offer the same patience to the people around us. 

            We should be patient in receiving the answer to our prayers.  God does not do magic, but God does miracles.  And the biggest miracle is listening and responding to our prayers in due time. Let us be patient and we will reach all that God has for us. 

 

Prayer: My Beloved Lord, you know that waiting with patience is very difficult for me.  I ask you today to help me wait in you, and to accept your will in my life.  Amen.

ESPERAR CON PACIENCIA

Santiago 5:7-8

Y habiendo esperado con paciencia, alcanzó la promesa

Hebreos 6:15

            Uno de los ingredientes esenciales de la vida es la paciencia. Nadie puede vivir una vida de éxito sin ella porque, al fin y al cabo, es fundamental para avanzar hacia todo lo que deseamos concretar, como así también en el desarrollo de relaciones interpersonales sanas y fructíferas.

            La paciencia requiere tiempo. Significa aprender a esperar con una actitud positiva, que no se desploma ante el retraso sino que se fortalece a medida que se acerca a la concreción de lo que tanto se anhela. Debemos ser pacientes para recoger la cosecha que hayamos sembrado, pasa un tiempo antes que logremos cosechar los valores , las amistades y el cumplimiento de nuestros objetivos.

            Debemos ser pacientes también al tratar a los demás. Eso a veces nos cuesta mucho. A nuestro alrededor tenemos personas cuya conducta se nos muestra insoportable. Es allí cuando más necesitamos paciencia. Recordemos siempre la paciencia que Dios tiene con nosotros y hagamos lo mismo con la gente que nos rodea.

            Debemos ser pacientes para recibir la respuesta a nuestras oraciones. Dios no hace magia, sino que realiza milagros. Y el mayor de ellos  es escuchar y responderé nuestras oraciones en su debido momento. Seamos pacientes y alcanzaremos todo lo que Dios tiene para nosotros.

 

Oración: Mi Amado Señor, tú sabes que esperar con paciencia es algo que me cuesta mucho. Te pido hoy que me ayudes a esperar en ti, y aceptar tu voluntad en mi vida. Amén.
