TO HAVE PEACE WITH GOD

Isaiah 53:3-4

He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering and familiar with pain; like one from whom people hide their faces, he was despised and we held him in low esteem.  (NIV)

Isaiah 53:3

            This verse from Isaiah is taken as a prophecy in relation to Jesus. He was despised and suffered here on earth, but he did it for love of humanity. This text reminds us that there is a great abyss between God and people. We need to recognize that we are sinners and that sin distances us from God.

            We will never be perfect. Nothing we may do will be able to give us salvation. We have not been able to approach God by our own efforts or merits, rather only by his grace. The Lord loves us a great deal, so much that he sent his son Jesus to fulfill, in place of us, the exigencies we are not able to complete. He was perfect, but even so he was despised.

            We can approach God through Christ. He forgives our sins, and just as Christ was resurrected, we too will have eternal life. God did it because he loves us and wants us to have peace and communion with him. We can only live a peaceful life if we have communion with the Lord. If you believe that Jesus died for you then you can live in peace with God.

 

Prayer: Thank you, Lord Jesus, for dying in my stead and resurrecting for me. Thank you for loving me such a great manner. Amen.

Aniversario de la Iglesia  en La Fernanda

PARA TENER PAZ CON DIOS

Isaias 53:3-4

Fue un hombre que sufrió el dolor y experimentó mucho sufrimiento. Todos evitábamos mirarlo; lo despreciamos y no lo tuvimos en cuenta

Isaías 53:3

            Este versículo de Isaías se toma como una profecía en relación a Jesús. Él fue despreciado y sufrió aquí en la tierra, pero lo hizo por amor a la humanidad. Este texto nos recuerda que hay un gran abismo entre Dios y las personas, necesitamos reconocer que somos pecadores y que ese pecado nos aleja de Dios.

            Nunca seremos perfectos. Nada que hagamos podrá darnos la salvación. No hemos conseguido llegar hasta Dios por nuestras propias fuerzas o nuestros méritos, sino por su gracia. El Señor nos ama tanto, que mandó a su Hijo Jesús para cumplir, en nuestro lugar, las exigencias que no logramos cumplir. Él era perfecto, pero aun así fue despreciado.

            Nosotros podemos llegar a Dios a través de Cristo. Él perdona nuestros pecados; y así como Cristo resucitó, nosotros también tendremos la vida eterna. Dios lo hizo porque nos ama y quiere que tengamos paz y comunión con Él. Sólo podremos vivir una vida en paz si tenemos comunión con el Señor. Si usted cree que Jesús murió por usted, entonces podrá vivir en paz con Dios.

 

Oración: Gracias, Señor Jesús, por morir en mi lugar y resucitar por mí. Gracias por amarme en gran manera. Amén.
