AN INEXHAUSTIBLE SOURCE

Psalmo 119

            Why is the Bible an infallible source of power and spiritual strength? Besides the fundamental fact that it is God’s purpose and design, let’s look at some other important factors that contribute to supporting this statement.

            It is impossible to read these sacred writings without realizing that they are the result of deep spiritual experiences, and whatever the interpretation that one wants to give them, the initial experience that produced them cannot be confused or denied.

            God’s Spirit came upon the biblical authors and remained with them who retained awareness of that divine presence. Thus, the high concept of God which characterizes the Bible does not result from rational philosophizing. That sublime concept proceeded directly from God. They were inspired to heed the divine voice, the revelation of his presence and his will, as well as the marvelous truth that God is our Father and, despite being infinite and eternal, is at the same time at our side.  God has a definite purpose for each human being, a purpose unfortunately frustrated and very often spoiled by human imprudence and perversity.

            The human race, according to the biblical teaching in this regard, is an integral part of the Creator, of the giver of life, who will recreate all things bringing them into accord with his will.

 

Prayer: Lord, we ask you that everyone may surrender to you, who are the owner and Lord of life

UNA FUENTE INAGOTABLE

Salmo 119

Salmo 119: 12b

            ¿Por qué es la Biblia un manantial infalible de poder y fuerza espiritual? Además del hecho fundamental de que lo es porque ese es el propósito y designio de Dios, veamos algunos otros factores importantes que contribuyen a apoyar esta declaración.

            Es imposible leer esos escritos sagrados sin advertir que son el resultado de profundas experiencias espirituales, y cualquiera sea la interpretación que se les quiera dar, la experiencia inicial que los produjo no puede ser confundida ni negada.

            El Espíritu de Dios visitó a los autores bíblicos y permaneció con ellos, quienes tenían conciencia de esa presencia divina. De modo que el elevado concepto de Dios que caracteriza a la Biblia no es resultado del raciocinio filosófico. Ese concepto sublime procedió directamente de Dios, fueron inspirados para entender la voz divina, la revelación de su presencia y su voluntad, como también la maravillosa verdad de que Dios es nuestro Padre, y que, siendo infinito y eterno, está al mismo tiempo a nuestro lado y tiene un propósito definido para cada vida humana, propósito desdichadamente frustrado y malogrado muy a menudo por la imprudencia y perversidad humanas.

            La raza humana, según la enseñanza bíblica al respecto, forma parte integrante del Creador, del dador de la vida, quien recreará todas las cosas para llevarlas nuevamente al designio de su voluntad.

 

Oración: Te pedimos, Señor, que todos puedan entregarse a ti, que eres el dueño y Señor de la vida. Amén.
