Thanksgiving Day 

ON THE LAST DAY OF THE YEAR

Psalm 90

            O God, our Father, here at the end of another year, we remember every day, every new thing we have learned, seen and done; each new friend that we have met, and old friends we feel closer to than ever.

We remember and thank you with joy

·  For everything that was difficult to face or endure, but from which we emerged wiser and stronger in character

·  Every failure or disappointment that has kept us humble

·  Everything that has shown us how dangerous life can be, and how much we need You

·  Every task in which we have failed, every temptation to which we have fallen, every person we have hurt, failed, or disappointed

We remember and we pray

·    For all those for whom this year has been exciting, successful: may they remember to give You thanks

·    For those for whom this has been a year of sadness and who have ended it lonelier than when it began; may they find strength and courage to move forward.

·    And for those for whom this has been an ordinary year, in which nothing special seemed to happen, may they recognize that even in the routine of life they can win or lose their destiny.

 

Bless us, and help us, wiser for the lessons life has taught us, to follow and reach new heights and nobler things.

 

Prayer: Today we want to thank You, Lord, for this year 2022 that is ending. Thanks for all the good and bad that has brought with it, because we learned from everything. Thank you because we felt your presence in every moment of this year that ends today. We ask that in the year 2023 that begins we may be able to experience your presence with the same intensity that we have experienced. We ask this in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Día de Acción de Gracias 

EN EL ÚLTIMO DIA DEL AÑO

Salmo 90

  Oh Dios, nuestro Padre, al terminar este año, recordamos todos sus días, cada nueva cosa que hemos aprendido, visto y hecho; cada nuevo amigo que hemos conocido, y los viejos amigos a quienes nos sentimos más cercanos que nunca.

Recordamos y te damos gracias con gozo

· Por todo lo que fue difícil de encarar o soportar, pero de lo cual salimos más sabios en mente y más fuertes en carácter.

· Cada fracaso o desilusión que nos ha mantenido humildes

· Todo lo que nos ha enseñado lo peligrosa que la vida puede ser, y cuánto  te necesitamos a ti

· Cada tarea en que hemos fallado, cada tentación en que hemos caído, cada persona a quien hemos lastimado, fallado o desilusionado

Recordamos y te pedimos

· Por todos aquellos para quienes este año ha sido emocionante, exitoso; que se acuerden de darte gracias

· Por aquellos para quienes este ha sido un año de tristeza y lo han terminado más solitarios que cuando lo comenzaron; que puedan encontrar fortaleza y coraje para seguir adelante

· Y para quienes este ha sido un año ordinario, en el cual no pareció ocurrir nada especial, que reconozcan que también en la rutina de la vida ellos pueden ganar o perder su destino.

 

         Bendícenos a todos, y ayúdanos, más sabios por las lecciones que la vida nos ha enseñado, a seguir y alcanzar alturas nuevas y cosas más nobles.

 

Oración: Hoy te queremos agradecer, Señor, por este año 2022 que termina. Gracias por lo bueno y lo malo que trajo consigo, porque de todo aprendimos. Gracias porque sentimos tu compañía en cada momento de este año que hoy concluye. Te pedimos que en el 2023 que comienza podamos experimentar tu presencia con la misma intensidad que lo hemos experimentado. Te lo pedimos en el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo. Amén.
