ACCORDING TO YOUR FAITH

Mark 4:35-41

He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?

Mark 4:40 (NIV)

            According to your faith be it done unto you, Jesus said to the blind men who begged to be healed. According to our faith it will be done to us in the experiences we have in our Christian life. Many times we lack a sincere recognition of our lack of faith. We should pray: “I believe, Lord; help my unbelief.”

            Faith is contagious. You have to be sure of what you believe and know what you believe. And you must convince yourself that this firmness and certainty is what can fill you with optimism and sympathy for those around you. There are  things that we must pass on to others by contagion. Faith is one of them. The faith that a person catches in your eyes, in your voice, in your actions or when you perform any task, can do as much or more for him as would the best and most prepared Bible lesson.

            Faith was the indispensable element that the Lord demanded in the performance of miracles: Go, your faith has saved you. However, we do not always approach the Lord with faith, or with all the faith we need. Faith can often be lacking when life’s great trials come our way. The twelve disciples, even in Jesus own company, faltered when the storm threatened to capsize their ship. After the Lord calmed the storm, he rebuked them, saying: “How can you not have faith? The Lord wants a faith that responds in times of anxiety, danger, hatred, problems; not something that we keep  so that it does not wear out.

 

Prayer:  We ask you Lord, increase our faith.  Amen.

DE ACUERDO A TU FE

Marcos 4:35-41

Y les dijo: ¿Por qué  estáis así amedrentados? ¿Cómo no tenéis fe?

Marcos 4:40

            De acuerdo a vuestra fe os sea hecho, dijo Jesús a los ciegos que imploraban ser sanados. Conforme a nuestra fe nos será hecho, en las experiencias que tengamos en nuestra vida cristiana. Muchas veces falta en nosotros un reconocimiento sincero de nuestra falta de fe. Debemos orar: “Creo, Señor; pero ayuda a mi incredulidad”.

            La fe es algo contagioso. Tienes que estar seguro de lo que crees, y saber qué crees. Y debes convencerte de que esa firmeza y seguridad es lo que te puede llenar de optimismo y simpatía por los que te rodean. Hay una serie de cosas que debemos transmitir a los demás por contagio. La fe es una de ellas. La fe que una persona capta en tus ojos, en tu voz, en tus acciones o cuando tú realizas cualquier tarea, puede hacer tanto o más por él como haría la mejor y más preparada lección de la Biblia.

            La fe era el elemento indispensable que exigía el Señor en la realización de los milagros: Vete, tu fe te ha salvado. Y no siempre nos acercamos al Señor con fe, con toda  la que necesitamos. La fe puede faltarnos a menudo, cuando aparecen los grandes embates de la vida. Los doce discípulos, aun en la misma compañía de Jesús, flaquearon cuando el temporal amenazaba con echarles a pique la nave. Después que el Señor calmó la tempestad, los increpó diciéndoles: ¿Cómo no tenéis fe? El Señor quiere una fe que responda en momentos de ansiedad, peligro, odios, problemas; no que sea algo que guardamos para que no se desgaste.

 

Oración: Te pedimos Señor, que aumentes nuestra fe.  Amén.
