A TRUE FRIEMD

Mark 2:1-12

Some men came, bringing them a paralyzed man carried by four of them. (NIV)

Mark 2:3

            I feel challenged every time I read the story of the paralyzed man. This incident tells me, “Be a Christian friend.” It’s clear, if it had not been for those four friends of the paralytic, it’s likely that he would not have experienced the spiritual and physical healing that day.     

            If in truth we realized what it could mean to be a friend to the infirm, the elderly, the lonely, we could put ourselves more clearly at their disposition. The loving attention of a concerned Christian is often the best therapy for the elderly, infirm, and lonely.

            Look around you! There are many who are suffering. Ask the Lord to give you compassion. Furthermore, find someone that needs you. Bestow a warm smile upon him, a friendly word, and a solidary, and be a Christian friend!

 

Prayer: Loving God, we ask you for those who suffer loneliness and indifference. Amen.

UN AMIGO VERDADERO

Marcos 2:1-12

Llegaron entonces cuatro hombres que cargaban a un paralítico

Marcos 2:3

            Cada vez que leo la historia del hombre paralítico me siento retado. Este incidente me dice: “Sé un amigo cristiano”. Está claro, si no hubiera sido por aquellos cuatro amigos del paralítico, es probable que este no hubiera experimentado la sanidad espiritual y física aquel día.

            Si nos diéramos cuenta de  verdad lo que podría significar ser un amigo para los enfermos, los ancianos, los solitarios, podríamos ponernos más claramente a su disposición. La amante atención de un cristiano interesado es frecuentemente la mejor terapia para los ancianos, enfermos o solitarios.

            ¡Mira a tu alrededor! Son muchos  los que están sufriendo. Pide al Señor que te dé compasión. Encuentra a continuación a alguien que te necesite. Entrégale una cálida sonrisa, una palabra amistosa y una mano solidaria. ¡Sé un amigo cristiano!

 

Oración: Amado Dios, te pedimos  por los que sufren la soledad y el desamor. Amén.
