YOUR FAITH

MARK 4:35-41

He said to them,

"Why are you afraid? Have you still no faith?"

Mark 4:40

In accordance with your faith, it has been done to you, Jesus said to the blind men who begged to be healed. According to our faith, it will be done to us in the experiences we undergo in our Christian life.  Often a true acknowledgment of our lack of faith is missing. We should be praying: “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief.”

Faith is something that is contagious. You have to be sure of what you believe and know what it is that you believe. And you must become convinced that this steadfastness and security is what can fill you with optimism and warmth for those around you. There are a number of things that we ought to transmit to others by contagion. Faith is one of them. The faith that someone grasps in your eyes, in your voice, or when you accomplish a task, can do as much or more as the best and most thoroughly prepared Bible lesson.

Faith was the indispensable element required by the Lord for the accomplishment of his miracles: Go, your faith has made you whole. And with all that we need, we don’t always approach the Lord with faith. We often lack faith when we are assaulted by the great onslaughts of life. For example: even in the very presence of Jesus, the twelve disciples faltered when the storm threatened to sink their boat. After the Lord had calmed the storm, he rebuked the disciples: Why are you afraid? Have you still no faith? The Lord wants our faith to answer in times of anxiety, danger, hate or difficulties, and not to be just an object of adornment which we guard with care to keep it from getting worn down.

Prayer: We ask you, Lord, to increase our faith.  Amen.

TU FE

MARCOS 4:35-41

¿Cómo no tenéis fe?

Marcos 4:40
