ETERNAL RESULTS

Matthew 6:25-34

Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.   (NIV)

Matthew 6:34

Generally speaking, we ask ourselves about the utility of all the things that we begin. “What gain will this bring me?” “What is its appropriateness?”

This suggests that the maximum objective of today’s world is the pursuit of pleasure, or rapid results and dividends and visible gains.

We forget about so many men and women of history who, having the possibility of materially prospering, chose a sacrificial life of self-denial. Let us consider Jesus. He never held a position of social, political, or economic importance. He never owned anything. He never traveled very far from the place where he was born, he never had credentials or diplomas.

However, he was the one who said that we would find true happiness, comfort, and understanding in giving our lives for others in humility.

Are we disposed to receive it at the price Jesus prescribed?

 

Prayer: Lord, forgive us for our daily search of material gains. Amen.

RESULTADOS ETERNOS

San Mateo 6:25-34

No se preocupen por el día de mañana, porque mañana habrá tiempo para preocuparse

San Mateo 6:34

Generalmente nos  preguntamos por la utilidad de todas las cosas que emprendemos, ¿Qué ganancia me  reporta esto? ¿Cuál es su conveniencia?

Tal parece que el objetivo máximo del mundo de hoy es la búsqueda del placer, de los resultados rápidos y los dividendos y ganancias visibles.

Nos olvidamos de tantos hombres y mujeres de la historia que, teniendo la posibilidad de triunfar materialmente, eligieron una vida abnegada y sacrificial. Pensemos en Jesús. Él nunca ocupó un cargo de importancia social, política o económica. Jamás fue propietario de nada. Nunca viajó muy lejos del lugar donde había nacido, no tenía credenciales ni diplomas.

Sin embargo, Él fue quien dijo que en la humildad, el consuelo, la comprensión, y en el dar la vida por otros, encontraríamos la verdadera felicidad.

¿Estamos dispuestos a recibirla al precio que Jesús reclama?

 

Oración: Perdón Señor, por nuestra búsqueda diaria de ganancias terrenales. Amén.
