IN THE TRIALS

Hebrews 13:3-6

Continue to remember those in prison, as if you were together with them in prison, and those who were mistreated, as you yourself were suffering. (NIV)

When we look at brothers in Christ who are victoriously suffering singular difficulties, at times we ask ourselves, “How can they do it?” It surprises us that they don’t complain or demonstrate discouragement; we also can come to say, “If sometime something like this happens to me, I hope I can claim the same victory.”

But we need to stop there, in the idea of hope. We also can experience the same quality of faith. The believer can endure life’s difficulties in a triumphant manner if he learns to avail himself of Christ’s companionship.

Are you confronting trials in your life?  Don’t worry. Take heart. On innumerable instances, the Bible contains words that encourage us not to fear. Throw yourself ahead, trusting in the promise: “Behold, I am always with you, even to the end of the world.”

If you have trusted in Jesus as your savior, you have the certainty of his company.

 

Prayer: Jesus, help me to always find your footsteps, especially in my hour of trials. Amen.

EN LAS PRUEBAS

Hebreos 13:3-6

...piensen en los que han sido maltratados, ya que ustedes pueden pasar lo mismo

Hebreos 13:3

Cuando miramos a los hermanos en Cristo que están sufriendo victoriosamente dificultades singulares, a menudo nos preguntamos cómo pueden hacerlo. Nos asombramos que no se quejen ni muestren desaliento; incluso podemos llegar a decir: “Espero que si alguna vez me sucede a mí algo parecido, pueda obtener la misma victoria”.

Pero tenemos que detenernos ahí, en la esperanza; podemos experimentar esta misma cualidad de la fe. El creyente puede soportar las dificultades de la vida de una manera triunfante si aprende a apoyarse sobre el compañerismo de Cristo.

¿Estás tú afrontando pruebas en tu vida? No temas. Ten valor. La Biblia contiene en innumerables ocasiones esta palabra que alienta a no tener temor. Lánzate adelante confiado en la promesa: “He aquí, yo estoy con vosotros todos los días, hasta el fin del mundo”.

Si has confiado en Jesús como tu Salvador, tienes la certidumbre de su compañía.

 

Oración: Jesús, ayúdame a encontrar tus huellas en todo momento, especialmente en mis horas de prueba. Amén.
