HEALING

Mark 5: 21-43

He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”

Mark 5:34 (NIV)

Healing does not just mean returning the health of the body to those who have fallen ill. Healing also has to do with recovering a state of wholeness that may have been lost due to daily wounds. Many people have the ability to heal us, and this is done through spiritual strength, by the will to give, and by the desire to serve. Whatever our condition, when we recognize people of God and followers of Jesus Christ, we must make “sprout” from within us everything that does good to those around us. It would be good to ask ourselves what we have to give because we cannot give what we do not have within us. With a single touch to the mantle of Jesus, the woman who had been subject to bleeding received healing. And to those of us today, how do we offer healing to those around us? We must learn to heal ourselves and others. For that, we must feel the need to strengthen ourselves spiritually, the commitment to bring out all the good that God has put in us.

 

Prayer: Lord, may the energy of goodness always flow from within us. Help us to be healers of all that surrounds us. Amen.

SANACION

Marcos 5: 21-43

Y él le dijo: Hija, tu fe te ha hecho salva; ve en paz y queda sana de tu azote

Marcos 5:34

Sanar, no significa solo devolver la salud del cuerpo a quien ha enfermado. Sanar tiene que ver con recobrar un estado de plenitud que hemos perdido por las heridas cotidianas. Muchas personas tienen la capacidad de sanar(nos) y es justo por la fortaleza espiritual, por la voluntad de dar, por el deseo de servir. Sea cual se nuestra condición, cuando nos reconocemos pueblo de Dios, seguidores de Jesucristo, debemos hacer “brotar” de nuestro interior todo lo que haga bien a quienes nos rodean. Sería bueno preguntarnos ¿Qué tenemos para dar?, pues no podemos dar lo que no tenemos dentro. Con un solo roce al manto de Jesús, la mujer del flujo de sangre recibió sanación, nosotras y nosotros hoy, ¿De qué manera brindamos sanación a quienes nos rodean? Debemos aprender a sanarnos y sanar a los demás, para eso, debemos sentir la necesidad de fortalecernos espiritualmente, el empeño para sacar todo lo bueno que Dios ha puesto en nosotros.

 

Oración: Señor haz que siempre brote, energía de bondad, desde nuestras entrañas, ayúdanos a ser sanadoras y sanadores de todo lo que nos rodea. Amén.

GOD CALLS US FROM WHEREVER WE ARE

Galatians  1: 11-20

I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ.

Galatians 1:12 (NIV)

When we speak of conversion, we sometimes think that we are describing a unique moment in which, by magic, we change, leaving behind who we were, and suddenly we are completely different people. While it is true that conversion necessarily leads to a transformation, it is a process in which the Holy Spirit draws us closer and closer to God. Conversion is a path in which we remove from within, what contaminates our spirit. We fill ourselves with new ways of seeing the world and other ways of feeling and living. It is a path in which we go backwards, we run, we stop, and we start again, but it should lead us closer and closer to the purpose of life that God gives us. True conversion never ends. It is the perennial will to want to be better human beings every day, to witness better the fidelity and love of God.

 

Prayer: God, continue sustaining us on this path to reach you. May our conversion be constant and true. Amen.

DIOS NOS LLAMA DESDE DONDE ESTAMOS

Gálatas  1: 11-20

Pues ni yo lo recibí, ni lo aprendí de hombre, sino por la revelación de Jesucristo.

Gálatas 1:12

Cuando hablamos de conversión, pensamos, en ocasiones, que describimos un momento único, en el cual, por arte de magia, cambiamos, dejamos de ser quien éramos y de repente, somos otras personas. Si bien es cierto que convertirse, necesariamente lleva a una trasformación, esta se da como un proceso, en el cual el Espíritu Santo nos acerca cada vez más a Dios. La conversión es un camino en el cual vamos sacando de adentro, lo que nos contamina el espíritu, vamos llenándonos de nuevas maneras de ver el mundo, otras formas de sentir y vivir. Es un camino en el cual, retrocedemos, corremos, nos paramos, volvemos a empezar, pero que nos debe llevar cada vez más cerca del propósito de vida que Dios nos da. La verdadera conversión no termina nunca, es la voluntad perenne de querer ser cada día mejores seres humanos, testificar mejor la fidelidad y el amor de Dios.

 

Oración: Dios sigue sosteniéndonos en este camino de llegar a ti. Que nuestra conversión sea constante y verdadera. Amén.

COMPASSION BRINGS US CLOSER TO EACH OTHER

Mark 8:1-4

… I have compassion for these people…

Mark 8:2a (NIV)

Insensibility has branched out around us in such a way that it blinds us and makes us selfish and unjust. It causes us to remain silent in the face of injustice and makes us turn our backs on suffering. Our search for solutions cools to the conditions of indignity, exclusion, and the lack of rights of many people today. In the face of this, there is only one path: compassion, and we are not talking about superficial and empty pity that leads to nothing. To feel compassion is to be alert in the face of suffering, to look for options in the face of shortages, and to denounce abuses and humiliation. At the same time, it means to show love, to embrace those who suffer, to listen to those who cry out, and to walk with those who seek a different way of living, relating, loving, and existing. Jesus opened the door so that the miracle of multiplication could be possible. It is up to all people of “good will” to multiply the trust, the hope, the love, and the desire to do good.

Prayer: God, open our eyes. Fill our hearts with love and guide our actions towards those who need them most. Amen.

LA COMPASIÓN NOS ACERCA A LOS OTROS Y LAS OTRAS

Marcos 8: 1-4

… tengo compasión de la multitud…

Marcos 8:2a

La insensibilidad se ha ramificado a nuestro alrededor, de forma tal que nos ciega, nos vuelve egoístas e injustos. Nos hace permanecer en silencio frente a injusticia, nos hace dar la espalda al sufrimiento, nos enfría en la búsqueda soluciones frente a las condiciones de indignidad, exclusión, la falta de derechos de muchas personas hoy. Frente a esto solo hay un camino: la compasión, y no hablamos de la lástima superficial y vacía que no conduce a nada. Sentir compasión es estar alerta frente al sufrimiento, es buscar opciones frente a las escaseces, a denunciar abusos, vejaciones y al mismo tiempo mostrar amor, abrazar a quien sufre, escuchar a quien clama y caminar junto a quienes buscan una manera diferente de vivir, de relacionarse, de amar, de existir. Jesús abrió la puerta para que el milagro de la multiplicación fuera posible, nos corresponde hoy a todas las personas de “buena voluntad” multiplicar la confianza, la esperanza, el amor, el deseo de hacer.

 

Oración: Dios abre nuestros ojos, llena de amor nuestros corazones, guía nuestras acciones hacia quienes más lo necesitan. Amén.
