SPEAK WITH MY WORDS

Ezekiel 2: 8, 3-4

He then said to me. “Son of man go now to the people of Israel and speak my words to them.  (NIV)

Ezekiel 3:4

God also uses people to transmit his messages, but speaking in the name of God is a very high responsibility. Doing so implies suppressing our personal opinion, our emotions, prejudices, conveniences and, at the same time, assuming the consequences firsthand, of the message that we were given to transmit.

We might think that prophesying is not a mission for these times, or at least not for simple people like us. However, God calls us every day to enter into communion with Him and live consciously and fully in the present through His truth and love, a call that prevents us from remaining inert in the face of injustice, indolence, or apathy that are overabundant in our days, just to mention a few.  What if, instead of desperately asking Him to meet our daily needs, we were silent to listen to Him? If so, what would we do with this message?

 

Prayer: Father, thank you this morning for giving me the will to seek you, now speak to me in the light of your word, and give me the courage to go out and proclaim your Kingdom with total confidence in you. Amen.

HÁBLALES CON MIS PALABRAS

Ezequiel 2: 8, 3-4

Luego me dijo: «Hijo de hombre, ve y entra a la casa de Israel y háblales con mis palabras»

Ezequiel 3:4

Dios utiliza también a las personas para transmitir sus mensajes, pero hablar en el nombre de Dios es muy alta responsabilidad. Hacerlo implica anular nuestra opinión personal, nuestras emociones, prejuicios, conveniencias, y, a la vez, asumir las consecuencias en carne propia, del mensaje que nos fue dado a transmitir.

Pudiéramos pensar que no es, el profetizar, una misión para estos tiempos, o al menos, no para personas simples como nosotros. Sin embargo, Dios nos hace un llamado cada día a entrar en comunión con Él, y vivir consciente y plenamente el presente, a través de su Verdad y su Amor, llamado que nos impide quedarnos inertes ante la injusticia, la indolencia, o la desidia que sobreabundan en nuestros días, por solo mencionar algunos.

¿Qué tal si, en lugar de pedirle con desesperación, que supla nuestras necesidades cotidianas, hacemos un silencio para escucharle? Si así fuera, ¿qué haríamos con este mensaje?

 

Oración: Padre, gracias en esta mañana por darme voluntad para buscarte, ahora háblame a la luz de tu Palabra, y dame el valor de salir a proclamar tu Reino con total confianza en ti. Amén.
