Believing Together in Love

2 Thessalonians 1: 1-5, 11-12

We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing.

2 Thessalonians 1:3 (NIV)

Paul prayed constantly for the strength of his brothers and sisters in this church; he was their spiritual father. His patience and growing faith in God was present in his daily life. They had persevered in the midst of difficult situations, and this was a reason for Paul to rejoice. He thanked God for their example. Their spiritual growth was reflected in their growing love for each other.

And so it should be; may we help each other to grow in love and faith. May our strength enable us to support each other in the midst of all circumstances as true sisters and brothers. The church is a family; we should see ourselves as members committed to brotherly love with a sincere relation that attracts others to be part of it. Let us fulfill the Lord’s call by serving as an example to many.

 

Prayer: Thank you, Father, for the family of faith. Help us to grow each day in love. Amen.

Creciendo juntos en el amor

2 Tesalonicenses 1: 1-5, 11-12

Hermanos, siempre tenemos que dar gracias a Dios por ustedes, como es justo que hagamos, porque la fe de ustedes está creciendo y el amor que cada uno tiene por los otros es cada vez mayor.

2 Tesalonicenses 1:3

Pablo oraba constantemente por la fortaleza de sus hermanos y hermanas en esta iglesia, él era su padre espiritual. La paciencia y la fe en Dios crecía, estaba presente en su diario vivir. Habían perseverado en medio de situaciones difíciles, esto es motivo de gozo para Pablo. Agradece a Dios el ejemplo de ellos, su crecimiento espiritual se reflejaba en el amor creciente de los unos por los otros.

Así debe ser; que nos ayudemos a crecer en amor y fe. Nuestra fortaleza nos permita servirnos de apoyo en medio de cualquier circunstancia como verdaderos hermanas y hermanos. La iglesia es una familia, debemos vernos como miembros comprometidos en amor fraternal con una sincera relación que atraiga a otros a ser parte de ella. Cumplamos con el llamado del Señor sirviendo de ejemplo para muchos.

 

Oración: Gracias Padre por la familia de la fe. Ayúdanos a crecer cada día en amor. Amén.
