HIS WORD AS PREVAILING AND EMPOWERING TRUTH

John 17:17

Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.

John 17:17 (NIV)

Sanctification means the consecration, the offering and dedication of our life to God, to His word. The truth represented by the word of God acts as our guide. As we immerse ourselves in it, we allow its joy and hope to reach the depths of our hearts. Sanctification is a journey of the truth that is God, that begins by accepting the Lord into our existence. On this journey in community, together with others who profess our faith, helping each other in the search for our truth, it is a journey of discovery and acceptance that we are never alone. His Spirit always accompanies us, showing us the way and guiding us on the right path. Let us go as sons and daughters in faith, sharing with the world His renewing truth.

Prayer: Lord, offer us always your healing truth and your comforting word, as we offer you our lives. Accept our call and help us to spread your message throughout the world. Amen.

SU PALABRA COMO VERDAD QUE PREVALECE Y FORTALECE

Juan 17.17

Santifícalos en tu verdad; tu palabra es verdad.

Juan 17.17

Santificarse significa la consagración, el ofrecimiento y dedicación de nuestra vida a Dios, a su palabra. La verdad representada por la palabra de Dios actúa como nuestra guía, al sumergirnos en ella permitimos que su gozo y esperanza llegue a lo más profundo de nuestros corazones. La santificación es un viaje de la verdad que es Dios, que comienza aceptando al Señor en nuestras existencias. En este camino en comunidad, junto a otras y otros que profesen nuestra fe, ayudándonos así en la búsqueda de nuestra verdad, es un viaje de descubrimiento y aceptación que nunca estamos solos. Su Espíritu siempre nos acompaña, marcándonos el camino y guiándonos por el sendero correcto. Vayamos como hijos e hijas en la fe, y compartamos con el mundo su verdad renovadora.

Oración: Señor ofrécenos siempre tu verdad sanadora y tu palabra que reconforta, así como nosotros y nosotras te ofrecemos nuestras vidas. Acepta nuestro llamado y ayúdanos a repartir tu mensaje por el mundo. Amén.

 

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 27th

THE MESSAGE

1 Thessalonians 2:13

And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe.

1 Thessalonians 2:13 (NIV)

This text reminds us of the importance of the word of God, not as a simple human message, but as a living testimony that acts within us. When we listen to the reading of the word in our churches, we must be receptive and with  hearts open, because its message can transform our lives; guiding us and giving us hope in uncertain and difficult times. At the same time, this verse causes us to reflect on how we respond to the teaching of the word. Do we do so willingly, ready to be renewed and encouraged by its truth? As Christians we must share God’s message, strengthening our faith and fellowship, as well as our bond with the Lord.

Prayer: Lord, teach us to value your word, let your truth and wisdom transform our lives. Every time we listen to your message, may we do so in the trust that you are at work in us. Amen.

EL MENSAJE.

Tesalonicenses 2.13

Así que no dejamos de dar gracias a Dios, porque al oír ustedes la palabra de Dios que les predicamos, la aceptaron no como palabra humana sino como lo que realmente es, palabra de Dios, la cual actúa en ustedes los creyentes.

Tesalonicenses 2.13

Este texto nos recuerda la importancia de la palabra de Dios, no como un simple mensaje humano, sino como testimonio vivo que actúa en nosotras/os. Cuando escuchamos la lectura de la palabra en nuestras iglesias debemos hacerlo receptivos, con el corazón abierto, pues su mensaje es capaz de transformar nuestras vidas; de guiarnos en momentos de incertidumbre y de darnos esperanza en estos tiempos difíciles. A su vez, este versículo nos hace reflexionar sobre cómo respondemos a la enseñanza de la palabra. ¿Lo hacemos con disposición, dispuestos a que su verdad nos renueve y nos aliente? Como cristianos y cristianas compartir el mensaje de Dios fortalece nuestra fe y nuestra hermandad, así como nuestro vínculo con el Señor.

Oración: Señor enséñanos a valorar tu palabra, permite que tu verdad y sabiduría transforme nuestras vidas. Que cada vez que escuchemos tu mensaje lo hagamos confiando en que tu estas obrando en nosotros. Amén.

 

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 26th

Celebration of the Mission Church in Paraíso Obrero

JESUS, PATH BUILDER

John 14:6

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

John 14:6 (NIV)

How many times has the path not become narrow and full of obstacles? How many times have we walked in fear, tired, including times when we’ve not even been able to walk? Jesus affirms that He is the truth, the life, the way, the son of the Father who conveys his message of change, renewal and hope. Like the road, this firm ground allows for firm steps, steps without fear. Through faith we find life; a faith that guides us to the truth, a faith that sustains us and makes us grow. May our faith create paths; may our faith be the breeze of life. May it be the necessary truth. In this way may we continue to be a living example, following the path that Jesus laid out for us.

Prayer: God, guide your sons and daughters on the path we should follow. May we be like Jesus, with that strength and courage for those in need. May we follow in your footsteps and lead the way. Amen.

Celebración de la Iglesia dependiente en Paraíso Obrero

JESÚS, FORMADOR DE CAMINOS.

Juan 14.6

Jesús le dijo: Yo soy el camino, y la verdad, y la vida; nadie viene al Padre, sino por mí.

Juan 14.6

Cuantas veces el camino no se ha hecho estrecho y lleno de obstáculos. Cuantas veces caminamos con miedo, cansados, veces en las que incluso no hemos podido caminar. Jesús afirma que él es la verdad, la vida, el camino. El hijo del Padre que transmite su mensaje de cambio, de renovación, de esperanza.  Como el camino, como suelo firme que permite pasos afianzados, pasos sin miedo. En la fe encontramos vida; una fe que guía hacia la verdad, una fe que nos sostiene y nos hace crecer. Dejemos que nuestra fe cree caminos, dejemos que nuestra fe sea brisa de vida, sea la verdad necesaria; así continuaremos siendo ejemplo vivo, seguiremos los pazos que Jesús nos trazó.

Oración: Dios, guía a tus hijos e hijas por el camino que debemos seguir. Que seamos como Jesús, esa fortaleza y ese valor para aquellos que lo necesitan. Nosotros seguiremos tus pasos y marcaremos el sendero. Amén.
