HEAVEN AND EARTH ARE FULL OF YOUR GLORY

Psalm 148, 1-2. 11-12. 13. 14

Praise the Lord! . . . princes and all rulers of the earth!

Psalm 148: 1a. 11b (NRSV)

Praise is the act of glorifying God, of praising and blessing God especially with hymns and songs. Praise is one of the manifestations to which the written Word of God frequently invites us, especially in the Psalms. God is shown worthy of praise by means of his love and mercy to humanity, and this comes out quite naturally as gratitude and blessing for his undeserved grace.

Today we are invited to worship and honor the Creator and Savior. Everything that surrounds us gives witness that its glory surrounds and transcends our understanding, but we can also find it in the simple and everyday aspects of life: in the beauty of creation, in the naive smile of children, in the embrace and the kiss of lovers, in the tenderness of grandparents, in parental care.

Alleluia! Praise God!

 

Prayer: Praise be to you, God of love; receive our worship and glory at all times, You who live and reign forever and ever. Amen.

LLENOS ESTÁN EL CIELO Y LA TIERRA DE TU GLORIA

Salmo 148, 1-2. 11-12. 13. 14

¡Aleluya! ¡Alaben a Yahvé (…) pueblos todos (…)!

Salmo 148: 1a. 11b

La alabanza es la acción de la glorificación a Dios, de ensalzarlo y bendecirlo especialmente con himnos y cánticos. La alabanza es una de las manifestaciones a la que la Palabra de Dios escrita nos invita con frecuencia, de manera especial en los Salmos. Dios se manifiesta digno de alabanza a través de su amor y misericordia a los seres humanos y esta resulta con toda naturalidad como agradecimiento y bendición por su gracia inmerecida.

Hoy somos invitados/as a dar adoración y honra al Creador y Salvador. Todo cuanto nos rodea da cuentas de que su gloria envuelve y trasciende nuestro entendimiento, pero también lo podemos encontrar los sencillo y cotidiano de la vida: en la belleza de la creación, en la sonrisa ingenua los/as niños/as, en el abrazo y el beso de los/as enamorados/as, en la ternura de los abuelos/as, en el cuidado maternal/paternal.

¡Aleluya! ¡Alaben a Yahvé!

 

Oración: Alabado seas Dios de amor, recibe nuestra adoración y gloria en todo tiempo. Tú que vives y reinas por todos los siglos. Amén.
