GOD IS CLOSE, FAMILY

John 16: 23-28

No, the Father himself loves you because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God. (NIV)

John 16:27

Jesus has been teaching the disciples to pray. They have been close, they have listened to him and are witnesses. In a diverse religious and cultural context, where the priests of the law have maintained a great, rigorous, and even exploitative separation between God and human beings, Jesus has been bringing the Kingdom of God closer: the true meaning of a relationship with God, where the essence is love and justice. The Master has turned around central issues of religious power, he has opened the way in closed, primordial issues. He has opened their eyes to faith in a close God, in a Father.           

Today, we have the possibility of a direct relationship with God. We are his daughters and sons. Through our faith, we recognize Jesus as the firstborn Son of God who has given us a personal relationship with the Creator.

 

Prayer: Dear God, thank you for the blessing of the personal relationship that we can have with you. Thank you for our brother Jesus who teaches us your blessing for creation. Amen.

DIOS CERCANO, FAMILIA.

John 16: 23-28

Ya que el Padre mismo los ama porque me han amado y han creído que yo he venido de parte de Dios

Juan 16:27

Jesús ha estado enseñándoles a orar a los discípulos, han estado cerca, le han escuchado y son testigos de ello. En un contexto religioso y cultural diverso, donde los sacerdotes de la ley han mantenido una separación grande, rigurosa y hasta aprovechada entre Dios y los seres humanos, Jesús ha venido acercando el Reino de Dios; el verdadero sentido de una relación con Dios donde la esencia es el amor y justicia. El Maestro le ha dado la vuelta asuntos centrales del poder religioso, ha abierto camino en los asuntos cerrados, primordiales. Les ha abierto los ojos a la fe en un Dios cercano, en un Padre.

Hoy tenemos la posibilidad de una relación directa con Dios, somos sus hijas e hijos, por nuestra fe, reconocemos a Jesús como Hijo primogénito de Dios que nos ha regalado una relación personal con el Creador.

 

Oración: Amado Dios, gracias por la bendición de la relación personal que podemos tener contigo, gracias por nuestro hermano Jesús que nos enseña en su vida, tu bien para con la creación. Amén.
