THE NARROW DOOR

Luke 13: 22-30

Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?

Luke 13: 23 (NIV)

How many will be saved? This is a recurring question that humanity continues to ask itself on a daily basis.

Jesus’ response was immediate. Is Israel listening to God’s call and taking the narrow path to salvation?

Jesus never quantified those who would share the happiness of being with God, although he repeatedly said that many would be called but few would be chosen.

Many of us have accepted Him and allowed Him into our hearts to meet us. We have been called to share His mission, but few accept it to change their lives and commit themselves with Him to build together and with the Kingdom of God, a difficult path, with sufferings, with pains, but with conversion of heart, with faith, with willingness to serve God, a path that is essentially made in steps of love and dedication to others. This is the Narrow Gate.

Prayer: Father, may we never stray from your path, and may we always follow you no matter how narrow the door is. Amen.

LA PUERTA ANGOSTA

Lucas 13: 22-30

Señor, ¿son pocos los que se salvarán?

Lucas 13: 23

¿Cuántos se salvarán?  Pregunta recurrente que la humanidad se sigue haciendo a diario.

La respuesta de Jesús no se hizo esperar. ¿Israel está escuchando el llamado de Dios y está tomando el camino estrecho que la salvará?

Jesús nunca cuantificó los que compartirían la felicidad de estar con Dios, pero sí, en repetidas ocasiones dijo que serían muchos los llamados pero pocos los elegidos.

Muchos le hemos aceptado, permitido en nuestro corazón que nos encuentre y hemos sido llamados a compartir su misión, pero pocos aceptan cambiar su vida y comprometerse con Él para construir juntas y juntos el Reino de Dios, un camino difícil, con sufrimientos, con dolores, pero con conversión de corazón, con fe, con disposición a servir a Dios, un camino que está hecho esencialmente a pasos de amor y la entrega a los demás. Así es la Puerta Estrecha.

Oración: Padre, que nunca nos desviemos de tu camino y siempre podamos seguirte sin importar cuán estrecha sea la puerta. Amén.
