GOD AND HIS POWER

Psalms 89: 12-17

Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, LORD. (NIV)

Psalm 89:15

The essence of God’s power is love, justice and peace. His first will is that which creates and recreates life in all its fullness. It is based on harmony for each creature. There is no force capable of surpassing it. God’s power is unlimited goodness, permanent compassion, unbreakable tenderness, which overcomes any obstacle and surmounts any challenge, no matter how great it may seem.       

God’s power is a loving force that places itself right next to those who are weakest, seeking to restore what is damaged, transform pain into happiness, overshadow the absurd, end the ugly, increase the beautiful and good that exists in our world.

This power of God lives in every human being; if we want, as the psalmist writes, that all people walk illuminated by the light that emanates from God. Today, with our gestures and attitudes, let us make it possible for God’s power to be recognized.

Prayer: Loving God, let your power reach into the places where you are unknown, so that peace and justice may be manifested throughout our world. Amen.

DIOS Y SU PODER

Salmos 89: 12-17

Oh Señor, feliz el pueblo que sabe alabarte con alegría y camina alumbrado por tu luz.

Salmos 89:15

La esencia del poder de Dios son el amor, la justicia y la paz; su voluntad primera es esa que crea y recrea la vida en toda su plenitud; se basa en la armonía para cada creatura. No existe fuerza alguna, capaz de superarle. El poder de Dios es bondad ilimitada, compasión permanente, ternura inquebrantable, que vence cualquier obstáculo y supera todo desafío por grande que parezca.

El poder de Dios es fuerza amorosa que se coloca justo al lado de quienes están más débiles, busca restaurar lo dañado, trastocar el dolor en felicidad, opacar lo absurdo, terminar con lo feo, acrecentar lo bello y bueno que existe en nuestro mundo.

Ese poder de Dios habita en cada ser humano; si queremos, tal cual escribe el salmista, que todo el pueblo camine alumbrado por la luz que emana de Dios, hoy, con nuestros gestos y actitudes hagamos posible que sea reconocido el poder de Dios.

Oración: Dios amoroso, permite que tu poder llegue a los lugares donde no te conocen para que la paz y la justicia se manifiesten todo nuestro mundo. Amén.
