PRIORITY FOR LIVING FAITH

Luke 10: 38-42

there is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better part, which will not be taken away from her

Every day has its own challenges and there is no time to get bored or feel as if we have nothing to do today. There are many concerns, responsibilities, unresolved problems, as well as those that we can solve. The story of Martha and Mary teaches us the importance of prioritizing our relation with Jesus above the tasks and distractions of life.

Choose the better part by dedicating time for prayer to talk with God, reading God’s Word and learning from his teachings in the Bible, taking part in the worship and activities of the Church, seeing how God blesses others, living a life of faith in truth and sincere closely bound relations, dedicating time to Jesus and his Church, without worrying about our family and work responsibilities.

Today Jesus asks us for balance and to always choose the best part.

 Prayer: Lord Jesus, we ask you to put in our hearts enuogh love that you will be our priority. Give us the wisdom to achieve equilibrium in our lives. May all that we do be for your glory and honor. Amen.

PRIORIDAD PARA VIVIR LA FE

Lucas 10: 38-42

Solo una cosa es necesaria. María ha escogido la mejor, y nadie se la quitará.

Lucas 10:42

Cada día tiene su propio afán y no hay tiempo para aburrirse ni para sentir que nada debemos hacer hoy. Muchas son las preocupaciones, las responsabilidades, los problemas sin resolver y aquellos que sí podemos. Pero la historia de Marta y María nos enseña la importancia de priorizar nuestra relación con Jesús por encima de las tareas y distracciones de la vida.

Escoger la mejor parte es dedicar tiempo a la oración para conversar con Dios, leer su Palabra y aprender de sus enseñanzas en la Biblia, participar del culto y las actividades de la iglesia y ver cómo Dios bendice a otros y otras, vivir una vida de fe en verdadera y sincera fraternidad y hermandad, dedicar tiempo a Jesús y a su iglesia, sin despreocuparnos de nuestras responsabilidades familiares y laborales.

Hoy Jesús nos pide un equilibrio y que siempre escojamos la mejor parte.

 Oración: Señor Jesús, te pedimos que pongas en nuestros corazones el amor suficiente para que seas tú nuestra prioridad. Danos la sabiduría para lograr el equilibrio de nuestras vidas. Que todo lo hagamos sea para tu gloria y honra. Amén.
