Anniversary of the IPR in  Meneses

FROM SPOKEN TO FACT…

Luke 11: 27-28

He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”

Luke 11:28

It is not enough to just talk about Jesus and his teachings. We need to put into practice everything that comes out of our lips. It is useless to put a sign at the entrance of the church that says: “Everyone is welcome,” and reject people who have different ways of thinking or loving. It is useless to go to church every Sunday to sing and praise God, to listen or preach about sharing if, outside of church, in our neighborhood or with our friends, we are selfish and not supportive. It is useless to talk about helping others and to close the doors of our houses or to change our view when someone needs our help.

Let us preach by example. Let us be beings of peace, of love, of forgiveness and of reconciliation. Let us be beings of light for those who walk in darkness.

Prayer: Beloved Mother, thank you for the life you have given us. We ask that the light of your beacon reach us and show us the path of good. Be with those in need. Stay among us. Amen.

Aniversario de la IPR de Meneses

DEL DICHO AL HECHO…

Lucas 11: 27-28

Pero Jesús le respondió: “Dichosos todavía más los que escuchan la palabra de Dios y la ponen en práctica”.

Lucas 11:28

No basta solo con hablar sobre Jesús y sus enseñanzas, es necesario poner en práctica todo aquello que sale de nuestros labios. De nada vale poner un cartel en la entrada de la iglesia que diga: “Sean todos/as bienvenidos/as” y rechazar a las personas que tengas diferentes maneras de pensar o de amar. De nada vale ir cada domingo a la iglesia a cantar y a alabar a Dios, escuchar o predicar sobre compartir si, fuera de ella, en nuestro barrio o con nuestros amigos, somos egoístas y no solidarios. De nada vale hablar sobre ayudar al prójimo y cerrar las puertas de nuestras casas o cambiar la vista cuando alguien necesita de nuestro auxilio.

Prediquemos con el ejemplo. Seamos seres de paz, de amor, de perdón y de reconciliación. Seamos seres de luz para quienes andan en tinieblas.

Oración: Madre amada, gracias por la vida que nos has dado, te pedimos que la luz de tu faro nos alcance y nos muestre el camino del bien. Sé con los necesitados/as. Quédate en medio nuestro. Amén.
