THE LORD IS OUR REFUGE

Psalm 89

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; love and faithfulness go before you.

Psalm 89:14 (NIV)

Counting on the company of someone who collaborates, takes care of us and accompanies us in our life is something wonderful and if that someone is God, then it is magnificent. There can be many perceptions of the signs that mark our personal relationship with him, that look marking our attitudes in the saddest and most difficult moments.

To understand God as a refuge amid the midst of so many adverse circumstances and songs of death, war, injustice and pain, is an encouragement for life. It is to see him walking by our side and to have the conviction that we are going to meet him singing like the psalmist. To feel that God practices justice and right from love and truth makes us rest peacefully in his arms, allows us to trust in his will and restores our hope.

Prayer: Beloved God, we know that your love enfolds us and makes us part of your redemptive work in the world. May we always find in you a refuge in times of crisis and also in times of joy. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

EL SEÑOR ES NUESTRO REFUGIO

Salmo 89

“Tú trono está afirmado en la justicia y el derecho; el amor y la verdad salen a tu encuentro”

Salmo 89, 14

Contar con la compañía de alguien que nos colabora, cuida y acompaña en nuestra vida es algo maravilloso y si ese alguien es Dios pues es magnífico. Muchas pueden ser las percepciones que tenemos del Señor como muestra de nuestra relación personal con él, marcando esa mirada las actitudes en los momentos más tristes y difíciles.

Comprender a Dios como refugio en medio de tantas circunstancias adversas y cantos desde la muerte, la guerra, las injusticias y el dolor, es un aliciente para la vida; verle caminando a nuestro lado y tener la convicción de que a su encuentro vamos cantando como el salmista. Sentir que Dios practica la justicia y el derecho desde el amor y la verdad nos hace descansar tranquilamente en sus brazos, nos permite confiar en su voluntad y nos devuelve la esperanza.

Oración: Amado Dios, conocemos que tu amor nos envuelve y nos hace parte de tu obra redentora en el mundo, permite que siempre encontremos en ti un refugio en tiempos de crisis y también en tiempos de gozo. En el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo. Amén.
